    Doom 3 info:

    "Big, Creepy Mutants
The game begins after an accident — or is it? — happens at Union Aerospace Corporation's Exploratorium Research Development labs. A red flash of light and suddenly a mysterious force unleashes evil souls who take over, and mutate horribly, the bodies of a band of marines sent to protect the facility. Although much of the gameplay occurs in the UAC installation, part of it also takes place in the hottest of hot places, hell. While not much is yet known about the story, we do know that the developer id software has hired science fiction writer Matthew Costello to pen the game story and dialogue. Costello is no amateur; he’s the twisted talent writer behind the 7th Guest and The 11th Hour games.

    Enhanced Terror
Designers have gone all out to insure maximum creepification for the new game engine. Textures are no longer just painted; they're now models with complete bump-mapping. Realistic to a fault, you can count the hairs on model’s head and check out their pores with the zeal of professional dermatologist. Rumors of a skeletal animation system that enables a blend of multiple animations are intended to make character movements appear more natural.

    NIN Adds A Special Touch
Scaring players witless was worked into the game plan as top priority, and all signs point to DOOM 3 spooking you as deeply as the first time you saw Alien. Zombies lumber through the UAC installation, based off both civilian and security personnel. Huge, non-human creatures attack with lightening quick lunges and id is rumored to be proud of the physics and collision system, in which items react to surrounding events with terrifying realism. Oh, and one of the lead designer’s friends is a certain bad boy named Trent Reznor, who did all the sound work for the E3 demo and was quoted as saying "we want to get inside your head and make it an unpleasant place to be." You go, Trent. We can’t wait."
