I know this is an older game, but I enjoyed it a lot when it was around. It was the F117a Stealth Fighter program by Microprose. It came on 2 5 1/4 " floppies. Since I don't have a floppy drive like that anymore, I cannot install it on my comptuer. I have doubts that it would work very well with Windows XP anyway.

Has anyone heard of a newer version of this fighter plane simulation?

As it runs in DOS, no floppy drive is inconsequential.

Interestingly enough, that game is free to download at

Abandonware perhaps, or just open to the public now:?:

I believe that was also a popular title on many sytems and consoles NES, Amiga, etc.

I've said it before, a great game is always a great game - I still like to load up Independence War every once in a while.
At 256 colors, it's still a great display.
