And why are you using IDE instead of AHCI?

To fix your "Boot Device" issue you need to go into the "Hard Disk Boot Priority" section, on the page shown in post 1081 above. Then that is where you move your hard drive you want to boot from to the top of the list.

If you want to make it super easy, remove all other USB Sticks and hard drives while you install windows 7. Then once you are done connect everything back, and then go into that setting mentioned above and move your OS boot drive to the top of the list.

    Default Windows update issues

Hi, I recently allowed windows to update my Raid drivers. When I rebooted I got an error telling me
"Windows Boot Manager. Windows failed to start. A recent hardware/software change might be the cause to fix the problem:
    1. Insert Windows installation disc and restart computer.
    2. Choose language settings
    3. Click repair your computer

    File: \Boot\BCD
    Status: 0xc000000f
info: An error occurred while attempting to read the boot configuration data."

I attempted to repair using the windows install disk to no avail. I attempted to repair the Boot BCD using Bootrec and the commands " /RebuildBcd " /FixBoot" and "FixMbr" and this didn't work. I think ythe raid array is screwed up. Is there any way to fix this or possibly recover data?
