Could it be the PSU? Other fans working alright?

The idea of stressing is to cause find problems that under normal use would be very rare to happen rather quick.
To have a system stable for exaple gaming you would not want it on the edge of gaming stability, but much higher than that.

Default Getting audio out of my setup

have the EP45-UD3L and GTX 260 video card running dvi-HDMI to my plasma and i can not get audio out of the TV. Using windows 7 now. Were is the issue. EVGA says its the motherboard.

It worked just fine with windows XP.

Do you have any suggestions to look into. Realtek looks like its reading the connection. I just dont hear anything.

Type change system sounds in start/search. Select control panel/change system sounds. Then click on the playback tab. You will have HDMI output options there.

i see the playback option but dont see exactly an option to change HDMI. Would it be specificly under the Realtek Digital Output option?

well i'm making progress, as i went to the option you sent me too there still wasnt an HDMI option, its just gives option for own sound volume per device. I was able to choose an additional option to have the main speakers on their own volume control and the Realtek digital output on there own volume. With that being said, i went back and tried playing music and set the Realtek Digital Output as default and yes i can now get sound out of my TV.

Next question, is it possible to get sound out of both at the same time?

In the Realtek mixer (Windows XP) there is "Enable playback multi-streaming" checkbox in options. I have no Idea what it does or if that is what you looking for but worth a look at.

i doubt it's my power supply becaue my system is pretty bare minimum.
i'm only running 4 case fans, 2 optical drives and 1 HDD. i know my
GFX card is clocked really high but i seriously doubt it's the PSU but
then again i'm no expert. oh well i just underclock the Q6600 back to
3.0GHz which is fast enough i think. so running Prime95 is the best way
to determine whether an overclocked system is stable or NOT? just to
make sure i download the correct version of Prime95 that's compatible
with Win7 64bit some LINKS would be greatly appreciated.

thanks again for your help Chike!
