    Default New Motherboard

    Hi guys i just get the New CPU, I get Core 2 DUO 1.6GHZ, 512 RAM and the Gigabyte Motherboard. i got 80 GB Hard disk, A DVD writer. So what you say is this Configuration is OK or i have to upgrade something from these.

    If i were you i woulda got at least 1GB-2GB RAM, because 512MB just doesnt cut it anymore.

    Your hdd seems to be ok, but if you are storing many music/movie files you may run out of space quickly.

    IF possible, you may overclock your CPU to extract more performance.

    OVerall, id say your computer will work fine, and can you pls tell us your model numbers of motherboard and other components?

    ddr2 is verry cheap these days you can get 2 gigs as low as 50$

    Yeah, like everone else is saying, that amount of RAM is kind of low. If your going to use that amount, I would not run Vista. They say 512 is the min you need, but I've tried it, and I went out the next day and upgraded to 1GB. XP would work ok with 512, or Linux.

    I agree with all these guys and want you to improve the RAM, DDR2 RAM is really cheap these days.
