Mine is doing just the same..... I did have the F9a bios but didn't think it was that stable so decided to reflash with the f8 I had.
.... and now it just cycles.
I'm guessing the 1st bios is knackered as 1st boot from plugging in is shorter. The next boot is about 10s, but no beep (unless all memory removed) and then powers off again.
Can I force it to use the 2nd, 3rd or 4th bios?!
I've tried removing the bios battery, 3 different power supplies and 3 different types of ram in many combinations.... the same result.

    Any ideas?

Have you tried Clearing CMOS with a jumper on the pins for 10 minutes or so and power supply unplugged? I find this helps often better then battery removal

Then remove pins, plug in PSU and put in one stick of ram only

Sounds bad, I think you will need to RMA. Have you let it cycle 20 times or so?

If you have a floppy, you can try this blind flash method >>>

Yeah, only floppy will work in that case.

Sounds like you will have to RMA, let me know if you need the RMA page

Does it have to be a real floppy drive or will a USB floppy drive work? - might be able to get hold of one of them.

But looking like I'm going to have to RMA so the RMA page would be good, thanks :)

Real Floppy only, and that method is hit or miss. I have seen it work, and seen it not.

Here is RMA page, on the left at the top click add new request
    RMA

I thought I had a drive knocking around but I'm not sure where I'd get a floppy disk without travelling back in time!

I'll see if the place I got it from will accept it back, unless you know if there's a UK RMA page?

    Cheers for your help.

A EU Germany # is also there, but I think the UK phone number will help you get what you need done
