Well upping the FSB directly relates to your cooling situation and your Vcore you set. You will just have to up it slowly until it fails, then that is when you know you need to add more vcore. It is simple to do, but as you know takes a little bit of time is all.

You always would need to tweak some settings, as you increase the FSB other things are increased as well.

Let me know what you are wanting to shoot for and I will give you some suggestions. I see some using their E2180 24/7 at 3Ghz with 1.3V -1.4V I see some running 3.6 at 1.5+ on water
3Ghz sound like a good start; I'm using a Scythe Ninja HSF.

What are you using now in MIT section? >>>
Just a template I use to ask people there settings, pay no attention to the numbers in it, replace with yours

OK well as you know, you may have to play around with the CPU voltage till you find a good spot. I would say start with it high and if it works, then lower slowly until it does not, then move back up a bit

Please post what ram and how much IE: 2x2 or 2x1 of what brand/speed/ I will assume 2x1 @ 800MHz(6400) for now. Also, what chipset/board to be sure?

    Robust Graphics Booster___________ [Auto]
    CPU Clock Ratio ____________ [9]
    CPU Host Clock Control_ [Manual]
    CPU Host Frequency (MHz)__________ [333]
    PCI Express Frequency (Mhz)_______ [100]
    C.I.A. 2__________________________ [Disabled]
    System Memory Multiplier (SPD)____ [2.40]
DRAM Timing Selectable_______ SPD __ [Manual]
    Performance Enhance = [Standard]

    CAS Latency Time________________ 4
    Dram RAS# to CAS# Delay_________ 4
    Dram RAS# Precharge Delay_______4
    Precharge Delay (tRAS)__________ 12

Start with the higher settings, and move them down ONE AT A TIME and test after each move. If you start moving two or three at a time or more you will never know which causes you to error >>>

ACT to ACT Delay (tRRD)_________ 3-4
Rank Write to READ Delay________ 5-7 or 9-11
    Write to Precharge Delay_________ 3-5
    Refresh to ACT Delay______________ 38-42
    Read to Precharge Delay__________ 3-6
Static tRead Value_______________ (6 << Try Last, may work and if so is GREAT) 7-10
Static tRead Phase Adjust________ 31 <<< Leave on Auto or 0 Or 1-31

    System Voltage Control____ [Manual]
    DDR2 OverVoltage Control__ [+0.3V]
    PCI-E OverVoltage Control_ [+0.1V]
    FSB OverVoltage Control___ [+0.1V]
    (G)MCH OverVoltage Control [+0.1V]
CPU Voltage Control_______ [Normal] <<< Try starting at 1.4 or more then watch temps and lower as needed. May only need 1.37 or so, possibly less depending on your chip and temps

The above will give you 3.0Ghz @ 1333FSB with Ram at 800MHz

    I'm running a Crucial Ballistix (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit.

    I'm using a p35 ds3r v.1.0!

    Does that change anything?

Nope, all the above are correct for that ram, which is what I thought you may have. Now all you need to do before lowering the memory subtimings is find a stable voltage for your CPU. Then you can get to tweaking the ram better
