Thread: Weird voltages

  1. #1

    Default Weird voltages

No program reads my +12v or -12v or -5v correctly....Is this a known issue and just need to be patient....or what? All other volts read fine. Oh yea the Gigabyte hardware program reports proper voltages for all.
    Thanks

I am not sure, try everest Trial (See in Computer then sensors section) >>>
Download EVEREST Ultimate Edition 4.50.1330 Free Trial - System information including CPU, FPU, disk and memory benchmarks, advanced hardware monitoring and diagnostics capabilities - Softpedia

    Or HWMonitor
    CPUID

The 12V should be 12V +/- .5 If they are still off in everest I suggest you quickly RMA or buy a new power supply

The board will not cause this, only a bad PSU

Everest and hardware mon. both report absurd values for +12v like 1V same for the other ones it reports wrong....Like I said the voltages are fine in Gigabytes hardware reporting program and the rig is very stable.
    Take care,

Can you post me a picture of the everest sensor page please? It should Not be wrong at all unless there is something wrong with your PSU

Everest gets them right....But as you can see HWmon....has an issue

Well I would say if everest is correct then you are fine. That is what I have used for years, and suggest to all my customers who need to monitor things such as this

So as you see, not all software monitoring apps are right. Most usually are not far off though, but some as you see will be very wrong. For example Speedfan often is 15C off in CPU temps.

My final thoughts, Everest says it is good then you are fine
