Well i uninstalled nvidia driver and checked it again and its better but still pretty bad. Its round 1500 max without the red bars. But as for trying different drivers i cant as i got the gtx280 and thats only got 2 or so drivers so far.

I will email janus so i can see if he knows a better firmware for my board being the x48-dq6. If i cant fix soon i'll take this board back and get an asus board

Okey. I got my spikes down to 1000 and below when I did a real thurough driverclean in safemode and then installed 175.19. But I see your point, having a gtx280 doesnt leave u with many driver options. Its no fun having those spikes but If u can get them down to ~1000-1500 atleast it wont affect your audio playback.

Im sure Janus has some beta bioses for u to try, he sent me one, but I havent tested it yet, I dont really suffer from the spikes now when they are down to max ~1000, even though they should be alot lower if all was 100% ok.

Thanks for the quick response. Now it's time to do a little QA and see if we can uncover any issues!

Has anyone tested BIOS version F3m for the EP35-DS3R?

Any chance you could pass along these latest BIOS? I've tried F3f and F3h which made no difference for me. Would appreciate getting hold of these other BIOS to see if they finally fix the issue. Thanks.

    gday

I noticed Gigabyte today(or yesterday now) have released F4 final for EP35-DS3P/DS4 (probably other P35 boards too, but these are the only ones I have)

anyone know what build this probably is?

    Cheers

They released F3 final for EP35-DS3R as well. I suppose some testing is in order...

Gigabyte EP35-DS3R, BIOS version F3 (final) results:

Ok, ran 3dMark05 and this is what I saw (yes, I know my temps are hot):

And at idle (well, while typing this post):

I think that spike towards the end was MSN Messenger notifying me that someone signed in.

    Whoaa!! There's a final F11 for my P35!
I'll make sure to try it as soon as I start my 2nd build...

    1. F3 final for the EP35-DS3R fixed my cold boot problem. Booted at 400x9.5 several times now.
    2. DPC is dramatically improved... EXCEPT when any CPU-monitoring utilities are used. Try running CPU-Z or Everest CPUID, etc., with the DPC latency checker running to see this.
