Default p35 ds3l board-4 gb ram work fine only on 2 volts

    hi all !

few days ago i added 2gb of ram to my pc.
since then i got "blue screen" very often,
i went to the dealer and he gave me other new ram but still the problem remains.
the tech said that i have to increase the voltage up to 2 volts,(i added more 0.2 volts)
since then evrything working fine, and no "blue screen".
is it o.k to work in this voltage??
    my ram:ocz 4gb gold xtc dual 800mhz

    thanx !!

Sooo is this 4x1 or 2x2

What you need to run that at is what it says on the sticker of the ram

    +0.2 = 2.0V
    +0.3 = 2.1V

Yes, most ram is fine at 2.0 or 2.1 unless the sticker says less. Anything over 2.1 you should add a fan on the ram

You will need to add +0.1 to MCH as well for 4GB to run best

i have 4 sticks of one giga ,
well i try to add only 0.1 volt, but still got "blue screen"
the problem solved only when added 0.2 volts.

Ok, well I am just saying to be fully stable if you have your timings on Auto for subtiming you should be ok. But you need some voltages changed as you found out.

Now that I look up your ram, 2.0 is outside of the warrantied voltages, and is likely not your issue, but timings are. For 4x1 you need to change some of your subtimings to manual not auto, Ill list some below, the ones in BOLD are Important for using 4x1 so you wont have to up the voltages over the warrantied amount. Shame on your Supplier for telling you to push the voltages instead of giving you the correct answer that you need timings adjusted

One of these sticks right? Either one are 1.8V-1.9V so it should be on Auto or +.1 for 1.9 to be safe

OCZ Technology | Products | Memory | OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 Gold GX XTC Rev 2 Dual Channel

This would be the best Start with the higher and test moving one down at a time, or if you do not want to do that at least manually set the BOLD items>>>

    hi
    my ram values are:
    act to act delay 3
    refresh act delay:62
    voltage:+0.1
    mch voltage:+0.1
hope it will handle my system-if not i will replace the ram
    to g-skill

    Thanx

    hi again !
well i have try one more option:
i reset all values to default and made only 2 changes:
    voltage:+0.1
    mch voltage:+0.1
    so far working well
is it ok to leave this changes only?
