Maybe you need to enable CPU host clock control and Freq, and manually set it? Couldn't hurt to try

Did you ever try older BIOS's they all support your CPU, I would try them all before a RMA

Are you SURE that you are using the bios for your board? I know that sounds crazy, but I have never seen that many voltage options except ONLY in the DQ6 models not the cheaper DS3 ones, hell my DS4 does not even have them. Surely it wouldnt work with a different BIOS, but ya never know so I had to ask

Damn GA, if they are putting all those options in the newer cheaper models it would be nice if they could take some time and add them to the older P35 DS4's!!!

what settings do you suggest i enter?

"Did you ever try older BIOS's they all support your CPU, I would try them all before a RMA"
not yet, its next on my list..... after i calm down (i really just want to destroy it at this point)

"Are you SURE that you are using the bios for your board?"
100% positive: the file is named motherboard_bios_ga-ep35-ds3l_f4.exe

there arent really that many, hiting ctrl+f1 just adds "deovervolting" options to go with the overvolting ones (its just one control, why 2 menus?). who knows how many of them actually work anyway. if you really like it though, ill be happy to sell you mine

Well the normal For your CPU would be >>>
    Robust Graphics Booster___________ [Auto]
    CPU Clock Ratio ____________ [9]
    CPU Host Clock Control_ [Enabled]
    CPU Host Frequency (MHz)__________ [266]
    PCI Express Frequency (Mhz)_______ [100]
    C.I.A. 2__________________________ [Disabled]
    System Memory Multiplier (SPD)____ [2.00]
DRAM Timing Selectable_______ SPD __ [Manual]
    Performance Enhance = [Standard]

Ya, before ya get mad and done with it, try the older BIOS's

Well, there is only this many in my far more expensive board is why I said that, normally you would get less then this even with a DS3>>>

Ahh, I thought I only saw one DE overvolt, are there just one DE-choice for each setting? If so then you are right, that is stupid

Well I done some reading And the general thought about the De-Overvoltage controls is that they are part of the speedstep/EIST and DES combination to allow users to have a better handle on what these features do when enabled.

LAME to add to a overclocking board I guess, but not everyone overclocks. but in the end, those who do not would not mess with these controls anyway, much less learn to properly use them to their advantage.... whatever that could be?

yup, all those extras were just deovervolts.

i tried the settings you posted.... didnt solve it...

ill flash to older bios tomorrow, ill let you know what happens.
i think i can still get a refund on the board, i still like gigabytes products, but i think im going to have to go with something totally different after this. definitely something more high end too.

Too bad, sorry man! I guess you should RMA then, I know I would for sure. To the place of purchase if you can it will be faster

    one last stab at this:
a friend found info that theres a beta bios that fixes the voltage reset issue with this board. is it possible it could work for my problem?

It could, ask that user to email you the beta BIOS, but as you know, BE SURE it is fro your board model and revision

Does anyone have any update on this issue? Is there a beta bios that can help with the issue? I really like everything about the board and if a bios update can fix the issue I will keep it.
