Hehe I think I know what your main reason is, and If its the same as I am thinking of then I am in trouble too :| I posted on aonther not mentioned forum about the problem but no one realy seems to have any input on the matter. I have no need for dual boot but the issue is boot related.

Will Q-flash work with a modded BIOS? Will Dual BIOS recover my board if I brick it with a bad BIOS flash?

HAHA Yeah, sounds like we are speaking of the same issue since what I said I can't speak of is also boot related! I did leave a note on your thread there to see if it is you, at least at the thread I think you are speaking of above. Lemme know if that is you

    Yes, and Yes

I have recently corrupted mine, and it was recovered from somewhere? I say somewhere because I have a RAID and all was good. I think the other chip worked in my case this time!

But yeah, I mod my own BIOS's and flash with qflash all the time

Hehe ok yeah definately same issue then!

If all goes according to plan I wont have to have that boot related issue, and should be able to use readydriverplus to disable driver signing.

Great to hear, Qflash is the easiest way and it feels safe. IŽll probably try a modded bios then and hope to God I dont brick my board, and if I do, pray some more that the backup chip restores my working bios.

Wont flash now though, gonna wait until I have my mushkins and do the flash right before I install x64...and also work up the nerve to do the flash

Ya, too me a while to work up to it. If we are speaking of the same place, I used this thread for my first mod (Topic #18405)

Before there was a GUI for it, and I still use the NON GUI and I do not think it is posted anymore, so if you want the non GUI pm me there and I will send it to you

I have since used it 4 times on my board, and about 10 on others so I feel it is pretty safe

Well that worked fine on my DS4, and I used it long ago before it had a GUI interface.

But yeah, I hear ya. I had a modded F11 for a long time done by someone at mydl and never got up the guts to try it. But I only thought that other one over for a day before using it. Dont know why, but I just felt more comfortable with having done the mod myself

Good luck, and may the force be with you!

The one from mydl has been tested by 2 ppl, I guess that counts for something. And today I got an e-mail from the online store I ordered the redlines from, telling me that my order has been sent. It should arrive tomorrow, and my paycheck arrives next monday, so I have 7 days to work up the nerve to flash.

When u used x64 with 4Gb did you experince any noticeable performance gain compared to x86? My point being, all driver issues aside, is it worth switching to x64 u think?

And may the schwartz be with you too! :p (quote from Spaceballs heheh)

EDIT. Hey u the same lsd I found browsing on devianart? IF you are I really digg ur Taskmanager replacement! :)

    EDIT No.2
Been reading this post http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/ga-p...d-flash-26428/ and you mention DualBios not working as it should? Has that been fixed wit the EX-38-DS4?

Well I never used it long enough to decide, but just running no, it was not any faster. But I didnt get into any real use like unraring things, installing programs or benchmarking So I couldnt say for sure.

    Yeap, thats my taskman!

No, dual BIOS is as always will be a shot in the dark. I have had it work personally, and recovery from disk (My choice in trying as I knew the settings I was attempting would cause it). I have seen it fail, and seen it work.

It is good to setup a storage drive in SATA 0 port in NON RAID mode and do a flash so the system will store a BIOS there on the disk just incase as well.
