    Sorry for the confusion Lsdmeasap,

Was testing memory in single channel mode, using only one stick.
Wanted to verify everything was OK before running in duel channel mode.
    slot 1 will not post.
    slot 2 will not post.
slot 3 OK, will post and pass memtest.
slot 4 OK, will post and pass memtest.

2.040v max stable to pass memtest. (2.1v recommended)

Could only get my hands on Corsair 800 c4 ram (1x1G), works fine in slots 1 + 2.

Could you please recommend some 2x2G 1066 ram.

You should also try changing your FSB or multi around so that you can try a Memory Multiplier without a strap letter on it. Such as a lower mutli with a higher FSB.
Will try this when I get home form work.

Thank you for all your help so far Lsdmeasap.

Do you really want 1066 ram or do you want 800 that will overclock? As 1066 ram is actually binned 800 ram that will overclock to 1066 with loose timings

Ahh but I hear ya, Here is what I would get for 1066 >>>

    Best >>>
    Newegg.com - mushkin 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory

Also one of their Top of the Line kits, 1000 Mhz >>>
    Newegg.com - mushkin 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1000 (PC2 8000) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory

If you do want to look at 2x2 of 800, and use the 1:1 multi this would be the choice kit for that >>>
    Newegg.com - mushkin 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory

A friend of mine and I have been working on a similar issue for a few days trying different settings. What we finally found to be the most stable is setting the FSB so that you're running @800 instead of 1066. I also hard set the timings to 5-5-5-15 spec'd for my mem. We also bumped the voltage for the DRAM up just a little to accommodate droop so you might want to try that as well. I'm currently running with CentOS updating an all is solid with 8Gb's running. Using F7 bios as well, though I can't tell that it helped. Maybe F8 will do the trick... until then i'll take a stable system @800...
