    Default GA-P35-DS3R and Xeon E3100

Hello all, I have been upgrading some parts and my brother has been upgrading some parts too. The leftover parts is almost enough to build another computer. But some of the parts dont seem to be compatible. Its between the mobo and cpu. I have a GA-P35-DS3R and Xeon E3110. The cpu is not on the supported list and was wondering if anyone has tried these two combinations and if they were successful or not. Some other sites say the E3110 is the same as an E8400 and is no difference and that if the mobo supports the E8400 it will support the E3110.

Anyone have any experience with mixing these two items?

    Thanks

There are no problems with the E3110 on this board as long as the BIOS is recent enough to support the E8400.
