Default Dead as a loaf of bread

My second EP35-DS3P has died. Worked fine until I rebooted, then no lights and no fans. Both died the same way.
i'm not going to RMA this one. get it working or hang on the wall.
Tried the usual , no luck.
Between the 1st and 2nd m/b = different psu's, same memory and everything else.
Put the memory and cpu in my other m/b and am typing this on it.
    Any ideas? psu tested good.

You haven't tried to overclock it or anything?

What exactly have you done to the last board that you've done to this (It must be something you are doing, or gigabyte has sent you two faulty boards which i kinda dought).

400-420 fsb settings as per the sticky at the top. Both ran fine for weeks and then wouldnt start after a Microsoft update restart.
"wouldnt start" means the m/b would not turn the psu on.
5 volts appears at the power_ on header, but shorting the power_ on header pins does nothing. Left the m/b with no power, bios pins jumpered, and the cmos battery installed upside down for two days- no go.

Both m/bs were not shut down for weeks after all the hardware was installed. only warm reboots for software updates/upgrades or bios settings.
