This is from your first post in this topic, it appears to be 3+ here instead of 5+
    Other deviations seem correct.

Hmm, I do not get that with any of my three boards, you sure you are looking at the right one in the BIOS and Memset?

It appeared i made a mistake here by telling the tWR (Write to Precharge Delay / Write Recovery Time) is +3.... After trying many different values it seems to be +7 here (still not +5) just like the tWTR is.

    Found something else:

the 4-6 should be 2-4... or
    the 9-11 should be 11-13

If that is meant set value vs. real value

Those tWTR timings above are both ranges, 4-6 and 9-11. Meaning both of those may be acceptable and the user should bench each range. Value is +7 from what you set

    tRTP is +3

    tWR is + 5

I will post you some images here in about 45 minutes once this download I am running is done so you can see. I wrote this for P35 using 2.00 Multi as most did then, I have not actually checked for sure with P45 the exact values but I am pretty sure it is the same.

Actually this variance does differ at different Memory Dividers as well. Al values are not 100% Predefined some are taken as set value plus other timings, and some even more in-depth reasons behind the value shown. And all boards vary with certain things, so he could not make it work 100% the same for everyone's boards

Here is how the values are obtained for tWR and tWTR, Quoted from Felix at XS forum the creator of the program >>>>

For the Write Recovery time and the write to Read delay, bios and memset are right; I explain:

Write Recovery time and Write to Read delay are internal dram timing.
There values are usually 3 to 8 for Write Recovery time and 2 to 6 for Write to Read delay.
But memset don't report these value, memset report Write to Precharge delay and Write to Read command delay.

Here is how these value are calculated by the chipsets:

    Write to Precharge = Cas - 1 +BL/2 + tWR.
    Write to read command = Cas - 1 +BL/2 + tWTR.
    BL(Burst Lenght) practically always 8.
tWR(Write recovery time) is 3 for ddr or ddr2/400 and 4 for ddr2/533, 5 for ddr2/667-800.It's can vary.

For example, If your have ddr2/533 and your Cas latency is 4,Write Precharge = 4-1+(8/2)+4=11.

It's the reason that memset report higher values than the bios.
You can see here at page 114 for Intel explanations.

P45 Pre Post Edit. I find P45 to use the following (At least for what I am Testing right now) >>>

    tRTP + 2
    tWTR + 8
    tWR + 8

As shown here with the 400 MCH Strap W/2.00 Multi (No time to test 2.66 Multi) >>>>

    __________________________________________________ ______

    2.00 Multi ______________ 2.40 Multi
    tRTP + 2 _______________ tRTP + 2
    tWTR + 7 ______________ tWTR + 8
    tWR + 7 _______________ tWR + 8

As shown here with the 333 MCH Strap W/ 2.00 and 2.40 Multi >>>>

So all in all, it depends on your chipset and what strap and multi you are using. So it will always vary from board to board and speed to speed. I basically added that to the original post when I posted this thread because MANY users PM'd me about why what they set was not applied. I actually did not know it varied so much between various settings

Everyone should just follow the very simplified memory tweaking page..... very few adjustments required to be set manually in the Bios for great performance.

At default Bios settings I was running 14+sec. Super Pi 1M. Just by reading the memory tweaking page I brought that down to 12.4 sec. A few PM's later and I'm at 11.4sec SuperPi 1M times. My memory timings are still very looooooose with my 2 x 1gb HZ's (5-5-5-15) as I have a 2 x 2 kit of G.Skills on the way and I figure the timings will need to be there anyways when they arrive. I've run the HZ's at 4-4-4-12 up to DDR-1000 on another board, so I know they have headroom here @ 5-5-5-15.

Biggest improvement was setting static tread to manual and tweaking the setting (my happy spot is 9- tried 7 and it was a bit flakey). 9 is right in the middle of the road for DDDR-800/1000 and DDR-1066+. Static tread phase adjust settings were all set from auto to manual (@0) and my board is very happy right now. Stable as all get out @ 4009mhz (9.5 x 422FSB w/ 2.00D multiplier for 1:1 memory settings). Memory (HZ's) are at stock w/ 2.1v. When my 2 x 2 kit gets here I'll go for broke ;)

I've never had support as good as on this forum.... only ones even remotely close were DFI and they took hours to reply... not minutes like here.

Kudos to Gigabyte!! Gigabyte for life!!

    OK.... G.Skill 2 x 2gb PI's are from my G.Skill 2 x 1gb HZ's. Results look promising as a quick comparison. HZ's were 11.3sec. in SuperPi 1Meg..... PI's I have gotten to 11.6sec. 1Meg!!

Funny how Memset sees both pairs as DDR3?? Oh well.... a bug I guess?

LSD.... attached is a Word doc w/ my current memory settings- and you can see my one stuck sensor @ 42C

How do I stop my CPU from being throttled down when not loaded??
