Nice to see you like them

Ya, I can get you some settings, please go ahead and get your CPU to where you want it for now then post me the settings you are using and I will post back with some suggested timings

I'm jealous, waiting on me some 2x2 Mushins!

ok, didnt want to go to OTT as im on air cooling (OCZ Vandetta 2) so i got the cpu at:

    CPU Clock Ratio ____________ [7]
    CPU Host Clock Control_ [Enabled]
    CPU Host Frequency (MHz)__________ [500]
    PCI Express Frequency (Mhz)_______ [100]
    C.I.A. 2__________________________ [Disabled]
    System Memory Multiplier (SPD)____ [2.00]
DRAM Timing Selectable_______ SPD __ [Manual]
    Memory Frequency______1000
    Core Speed_______3.5 gig
    FSB_______2000

really chuffed with my system now, ive always lagged a little with my specs and have been saving for ages now to get a half decent system..

Looks good, at least you are doing cable management and have some sleeving!

    Yeah, PC28500 is 1066MHz ram. 533 X 2 = 1066

Here is some settings you can try for 1200Mhz Ram >>>>

    Robust Graphics Booster___________ [Auto]
    CPU Clock Ratio ____________ [7]
    CPU Host Clock Control_ [Enabled]
    CPU Host Frequency (MHz)__________ [500]
    PCI Express Frequency (Mhz)_______ [100]
    C.I.A. 2__________________________ [Disabled]
    System Memory Multiplier (SPD)____ [2.40]
DRAM Timing Selectable_______ SPD __ [Manual]

    Performance Enhance = [Standard]

    CAS Latency Time________________ 5/6
    Dram RAS# to CAS# Delay_________5
    Dram RAS# Precharge Delay______5
    Precharge Delay (tRAS)__________ 15/18

ACT to ACT Delay (tRRD)_________ 3-5
Rank Write to READ Delay________ 9-11
    Write to Precharge Delay_________ 11-14
Refresh to ACT Delay______________ 48-50 (52-62)
    Read to Precharge Delay__________ 3-6
    Static tRead Value_______________ 7-12
Static tRead Phase Adjust________ 1-31 << Always leave on AUTO or Zero or 1-31

    CPU/PCIEX Clock Driving Control [800-900mV]
CPU Clock Skew Control [normal] 50-150ps
GMCH Clock Skew Control [Normal] 50-250ps

    System Voltage Control____ [Manual]
    DDR2 OverVoltage Control__ [+0.200V - +0.300V] = 2.0V -2.1V
    PCI-E OverVoltage Control_ [+0.1V]
FSB OverVoltage Control___ [+0.1V] << may need +0.2
    (G)MCH OverVoltage Control [+0.2V]

If you do not have any luck you will likely need to raise your CPU multi and lower FSB to get close to 1066 or so ram speed. Or go for 533 FSB with 7 multi, but you seem to know your way around it so you surely get what I mean.

But yeah 1066 is your rams spec

been having right fun and games trying to get it to run at 1200, havnt been able to run stable so ive been trying to get it at 1066 and no luck there either, i think my lack of overclock experiance is letting me down here, so atm im running ram at 800 and cpu at stock speed as im getting a little worried im gonna fry something lol

to get 1066 my multy was 533 which bumped cpu to 3.73 gig, i had voltage at 1.3v but it would hang soon as i tried to bench the cpu, im sure 1.3 is probs not enough but as stated im worried about taking voltage to high ??

dont really know where to go from here bud ??

If it was me? I would be using the higher 9 or 9.5 CPU mutli's to begin with.

I would personally use the 9 Multi and 450 FSB with ram multi at 2.4. Which would be CPU at 3.6, Ram at 1080

See if you get anywhere along those lines

Yes, you can use B. Alot of the times after a higher FSB you need to set MCH latch to 333 anyway (Which your board does automatically when you choose the B settings)

It will be fine to use that, and you should have no issues. In P45 you would be able to manually choose the 33 strap for higher then 425-450 FSB which would be what you would want anyway to keep stable

Keep testing, looks good. Is that stable, If not AUTO is likely why for all those ram settings. If you was just posting that image as a reference to ask about the Strap choices and you are not using those timings then ignore me! HAHA

trying to get cpu to run at these settings (3.6gig)and having no luck, system boots and loads windows then about 2 mins later she hangs, cpu voltage is well high now (1.4v) and still not running stable......

the last overclock with the 800 buffalo ram was a walk in the park compared to this lol, begining to wonder if the e8500 doesnt like anything over 400 host frequency ?,.....
