    Default Ga-p35-ds4

    Good evening,

Wanted to ask you guys if this motherboard supports PCI-EX16 2.0.

I have bought Radeon HD4870 but think, that it's not working with full power. Checked the official gigabyte page, my motherboard says it has only PCI-EX16 and PCI-EX4, but I found on the internet that P35 should support PCI 2.0

    Best Regards,

    Dmitry

It will work in that board, it will not run at PCI-E 2.0 though. But PCI-E x16

Do not worry it will not affect your performance, PC's (Graphic cards) still cannot even saturate the PCI-E x16 Bus and they are no where near the 2.0 Bus yet. So your bandwidth/tests scores/game performance would be the same in a PCI-E 2.0 board as they are now.

    X38/48 & P45 Supports PCI-E 2.0 not P35

Ya, you will be fine. And your gaming will not be affected.

Now though you will have a PCI-E 2.0 card for the future if you ever get a PCI-E 2.0 only board, you are all set
