    tWTR..........................................4-6 (9-11) << this one is ranged Twice for LAST testing to see which give better bandwidth performance, not a stability range. Some Ram sticks will perform better between either of the ranges. So test between both settings last in your tweaking for bandwidth performance. Whichever performs better use that range and get stable again

    tWR........................................... 3-5 (11-14) << this range I put the higher range because you were having issues. Best here would be lowest you can get it to. Likely 5-6 or so


    tRFC...........................................48-50 (52-62) << these two ranges were put here as actual ranges. With the higer range being easier to get stable, and the lower range being your better performance area. So start with the higher range and work your way down. It will fail when it is to low.

    I have made a few adjustments in the BIOS. Whenever I make an adjustment in the BIOS and save it my system starts to boot, gets to the memory test, restarts and boots all the way to windows. Then when I go back into the Intelligent Tweaker section there is a message saying that my previous settings caused a problem and that the system state is different then my settings. Are the changes I am making to ram settings getting discarded?

    Also I installed Memset and it has my ram categorized as DDR3 and has conflicting settings.

    Here is my current BIOS settings and I will attach an image of Memset.

    1 more thing. You said that I am overclocking my ram at 1066 mhz. Isn't my ram supposed to be at 1066? If not, what would the standard speed be?

    OK first a few things you should know

    Memset needs to be updated for P45 so that is why you see DDR3. tWTR & tWR will always be different in Memset then what you set in the BIOS (See memory guide Pinned).

    AUTO set in BIOS is not what you get in windows, it just happens to be what the BIOS is using RIGHT at that specific time, which is why AUTO is not suggested, nor is going by what you see/think the system is using on the left for AUTO

    1066 ram, all 1066 ram, is actually 800MHz ram that has been tested to perform at 1066 with the specified timings and voltages and the user must manually set this things. That is why my comment was noted about already overclocking to 1066

    All those things on AUTO is likely why you are having issues, that is not going to work. So please go back to where you were with manual settings so that it boots properly (Double boot is normal, triple is not) and then post me those settings back again and I will see if you can improve any maybe

    Ok I made all of the suggested changes. I will post my settings soon. I am getting alot of BSOD before and after the changes. Here are a few of the codes

    Post those settings, it is just likely wrong combinations you are using is all. I gave some higher then needed as well because you seemed to have some issues.

    We will get ya all squared away dont worry.

    Have you before tested the ram with memtest86+ at stock timings and speed to be sure the ram you received was not DOA or is not Dying now?

    No I havent tested the ram yet. I started to today but decided to try something else. My system began to get VERY unstable. Tripple boot, BSOD as the Vista Orb appeared on the screen, extremely slow response when I actually made it into windows so I decided to give F10o a try. So far no errors. Been on all day. I have thrown everything at it. Installed programs, ran multiple programs at the same time, had alot of explorer tabs running while streaming video from the web. Basically all of the things I couldn't do before and so far no problem. I am going to post those settings tonight so maybe we can tighten things up a bit. I have been prematurely optimistic in the past so wish me luck!

    Nice to see you found a BIOS you like. Sometimes this can take a few, I try not to suggest this unless I see someone using a BETA (Like you are now that you like) because of the BIOS saying "If it aint Broke don't fix it"..... I try to keep that mentality for the most part when trying to help users as often times BIOS flashes Fail and I would hate for that to happen daily as I try to help many users.

    As you see, yes BETA BIOS can be good, Also can be bad so keep that in mind as well. But in general some BIOS's Beta or not are better/worse for certain builds and components/settings. So glad you found one you like

    DO NOT USE @BIOS

    You can leave the above suggestion in AUTO if you like, but you will need to manually set them and adjust them once you decide to overclock. If 3.2 is not available with 333 set, then it is on the 400 strap so choose 400 and then 3.2. Or you may see 3.0 as a choice with 333 strap and you can use that for 1000 Ram Freq

    Hmm with the above settings you show, then what is the outcome for the Ram Freq?

    Those look good though, but I bet your ram is running under 1066 right?

    You may need to try 400 MCH strap and a different Multi then 3.2 to get where you need to be for your ram, or more FSB and a lower Ram multi with the 333 strap

    But since you want to overclock that will change your FSB anyway so you may get closer to using a lower ram Mutli anyhow

    Hmm, A heatsink. What Case do you have? And how much are you thinking of spending?

    The bios says my Ram is running at 1066.

    What would you suggest to OC my CPU? I am new to this and can use some guidance.

    I am using a 4U server case (its going in a closet on the other side of the wall that my TV is on and using it as the monitor). As far as price of heatsink, I would be open to paying for quality.
