Default Ga Ep45 Ds3R add on soundcard problem ticking, crackling sound

i have this sound card Sound blaster audigy value sb 0570 and i put it in my board Ga ep45 Ds3R, i have noticed that there was a ticking or crackling sound when i am playing anything example: mp3, Dvd movie etc.. so i came up with my own troubleshooting first like reinstalling drivers, reinstall the hardware from the pci slot( i tried both pci slots) i also tried the soundcard on another board and also tried another soundcard with the same brand and model to my board Ga ep45 Ds3R. ( i used the same speaker on the both different board. i also disabled the azalia on board sound.

    so heres the results:

when i tried the two sound card in my other computer it works flawlessly without that ticking and crackling sound( i use thesame speakers)

when i tried it to my new board GA ep45 DS3R both sound card and same speakers. there is a crackling and ticking sound.

it appears to be that my board has the problem. and is related to the pci slot. not my speakers nor the soundcard.

i also tried using the on board sound alc889A realtek hd audio and there is no ticking/crackling sound.

can someone help me with this problem?

i can't seem to adjust the pci bus frequency. i think its related to that.

Did you try moving the card as far from your GFX card slot as you can? Sometimes too close to the graphics card can cause feedback

The PCI Freq is in the MIT Section, you should be able to set it to 100 anytime you want, which is what you want to set

    @lsdmeasap

actually my pci slot is only 2 i tried both. the ticking sounds did not go away. my sound card is placed currently at the second pci slot.

the sound is quite annoying but its working so i think this can be solved by a setting or somethin'

can you give me any idea on what can i adjust related to pci slots?

Well you can manually set a IRQ for the sound card, could help

Other then that the only setting you shoudl set it in the MIT >>>

    PCI Express Frequency (Mhz)_______ [100]

Do you have another older GFX card to see if it is indeed your card giving out feedback?

i already tried setting the irq on the pci 2 slot but does not solve my problem.

iv'e notice that there are some bus sharing on pci slot 2.. if i change the irq the others change too..

ill try to set the irq on slot 1 because i havent tried it on slot 1.

Yeah you can try them all really, and yes irq's are sometimes shared

Have you installed the latest drivers as well, from realtek and not Gigabyte?
