    Hey TweakNoob,

    I have run (Prime95 25.6 build 6) 2 treads, and OCCT but neither is stable at 4050MHz :-(
    I think my cpu is bad for overclocking, it just needs too much Vcore. But at 3600MHz it's rock stable with Vcore 1.280.
    And at fsb 400 (3600MHz) I can run my timings as lov as:

    I really don't know why it won't run stable at fsb450 dispite the high timings.

    Hey LSD,

    Under no circumstances my system will boot with MCH Frq Latch 400, it just goes into continius reboots :-( Even at 1:1

    Do you think that the new Bios F8 will be better for my system?

    You have to use looser subtimings for sure. Thats funny to hear! At 450FSB I can't use 333 latch!

    I am pretty sure you can't boot with MCh Frq Latch 400 because Static tRead of 7 is too low, you have to increase Static tRead value to 9 or 10. My system (almost the same as yours) runs stable with MCH frq latch 400 using tRead=10. I finally kept MCH freq at 333 because I saw no benefits running with a higher MCH Freq, because the scores were actually worse.
    By the way, I read a very good article at Anandtech where they cleared out what MCH is, and which are the optimal settings for tRead. (tRead is related to MCH time delays, not to Memory) the link is: AnandTech: Intel X38 Tango - Is High FSB Overclocking Worth It?

    there they say "we only increased the processor Vcore in the BIOS Setup to 1.5V that resulted into the actual 1.42-1.46V taking into account Vdroop. This voltage increase is relatively harmless for a processor using an efficient air cooler and is acceptable for systems running 24/7."....I personally think that 1.5V is too much, considering the specs of INTEL but I am new to overclocking...so I think LSDMEASAP can know better.

    I could run stable at 4GHz but just like you, had to increase Vcore to 1.45V, so I prefered to stay at 3.8GHz with Vcore 1.33125V. I prefer my CPU to last longer instead of a little improvement in performance...for me 3.8 GHz is just OK ;-) BTW CPU temperatures at 4GHz 100% load were close to 70 degrees which I don't like either.

    I were now comparing EVEREST benchmarks to see if is good or not to increase the FSB to more than 400MHZ (now testing with FSB 475 MHz to get Mem freq. of 1140MHz)

    When I get some results I'll let you know...so we can compare.

    I use 400 MCH latch with trd of 8. I would like to use 7 but I have to get 333 latch to boot for me first.

    Ya, I would never use 1.5 on a 45nm CPU, 1.42-1.46 is ALOT. Maybe they used Nitrous for cooling in those tests?

    Nice to see you have gotten some good settings, and thanks for your kind words!

    Just wanted to let you know, since you are using the 333 MCH Strap you can use a lower Static tRead Value. Likely 7-8, 6 may be possible but not so stable. 7 should be stable, if not 8 would be for sure

    Thanks 4 the link. Envy your temps, mine stable but runs a bit warmer than yours. My pc crashes with tRFC of 42 and according to Everest, my best read/write is at 48. Not suggesting a change, just noting differences between our ram.
