Why do you choose that model? I just ask because it is for sure a budget model and you best bet is to not go that route. If you are short on cash, I would say to save up a week or two more and buy something you can for sure rely on

Money not the issue. I just don't know good from bad, I had to start somewhere.
Here are the 2 mushkins I'm looking at comparable in price. http://www.mushkin.com/doc/products/...ail.asp?id=643 or this http://www.mushkin.com/doc/products/...ail.asp?id=634
What I meant by the area being depressed is a lot of the businesses are moving out because the auto ind is doing so badly along with record foreclosures.

Thier Black Sticks are the best,Top of the line, and the Blue are the Midrange. Just the silver and non heatsink models are budget ones. So either of those would be great, with black being the best performer.

Here is some suggested settings for 2x1 until you get different ram >>>

    Hi
Thanks again. I'll try this tonight and see how it goes. I'm looking forward to getting the memory. It should be here in about 3 days.

    Hi
I ordered the 996580 black sticks 2x2 gb. Price was right straight from mushkin. WOW when I saw they were in Denver that really blew my mind. I'm from there and didn't know. Going to Denver next month to see my daughter and friends. You are a great help to people in this forum I've seen and appreciate it. I know other people appreciate it also. I'll let ya know when I get the memory so I can set it up.

Didn't see the rebate from newegg. After a couple of weeks working through bugs and having this thing lock up I'll just be happy to get this thing working and So will my son, he's been dying to play "call of duty". Ever since I built this box.
