No, Pentium D does not support those features is why. Nice to hear you are all up and running smoothly!

Yes, youre right. Not all Pentium D has those features but some Ds do have some of those but not all of them. My mistake.. YESS! Its indeed very nice to be up again and running smoothly! :)

LSD, could you post me good memory timings for my 996593 memory so i can optimize it right away when i install it?

Dosign, what CPU speed (FSB) are you going to be running and I can post you some settings for your redlines?

LSD, sorry im still with my D940 but will soon replace that with E8500 that ive already but have been too lazy to switch. :) btw. noticed a significant heat rise in my pc after installing red lines, didnt even have to look any program to tell me that. I could feel it when working with my pc which was on. G.Skills run much cooler and now im not so sure if a switch to Mushkin was so wise at all.. ive been using a HTPC-case as my main and because Mushkins giving so much heat i think that i need a tower case now. The cooling of my case is not enough.

What? Ram change is not going to add any heat to your case, at all. Maybe if you went from 2x1GB to 2x2GB then you may see a 2-3C rise in NB temps but that would be all.

If anything the G.Skills would be warmer just by physics as they have a MUCH Thinner heatsink so less heat would be absorbed into the heatsink before passed into the air.

Going from 800 to 1000Mhz may add a bit of heat, but nothing you should notice for sure. I am thinking maybe it is all in your head cause the heatsink is red?

    J/K

But seriously I can use 2x1GB in my system or 4x2GB and see no change in temps at all, at 800 or 1000Mhz
