.05 is the same as .050 silly. I suggest you lower it alot, like to maybe .3 or .325 or .35

HAHA My typo bad, I was just trying to suggest the D strap more then any numerical value.

I think those are good timings for 1000Mhz for sure, may even need to raise them advanced ones up a bit after you lower voltages (Both of which should allow you to use a lower tRD)

CPU multi is up to you, if you want to run or test CAS 4 timings you are going to have to bring down the FSB so ya you would need to use 9 Multi or so

So i need voltage for MCH Higher? At the moment its 0.05 (not my previous 0.50) so i need to raise it to 0.35?

Yes, for 8GB you may need anywhere from 1.25-1.35. You can test lowering this later, but in the end you may need the full 1.35 or more depending on your ram speed and other choices

Its strange i seem to be 24h memtest stable at the moment with only a 0.05 increas on the MCH.

Maybe tonight if i raise it higher il be able to get tighter timings :D we shall see:)

    Nice timings!!

No lower on the Static tRead? Just wonder, I have yet to test how 8GB reacts to things, will be testing that this week and some flex-memory installs as well

Really cant lower the Static tRead, even when raising other timings..the system just doesnt post at all!?

Might be the high FSB, or just the 8GB of ram? Nice timings either way really.

Have you tried it lower with less MCH Skew, and or more CPU skew?

You may have better luck using the 9 multi and a higher memory multi to get that same speed

Many variables to be tested, I know how you feel

Hey, after using my system for a while after the overclock, everything seems to be fine apart from one small thing.

Every so often, my internet browser will suddenly stop working and get stuck loading, no matter how long you leave it, it wont recover from 'suddenly stopped working'. The same happened today with another program; KMPlayer, in most cases i can end the task and continue again. But i wondered if this has something to do with my overclock settings. Im 24h memtest stable and 10hours OCCT stable (cpu) so im not sure where the problem lays..maybe its just XP. But i remember in vista i had simular problems when overclocking...programs not responding etc... is there a direct setting in the memory that could cause this, despite passing memtest?

I just need a perfect system!!

No, if you are that stable your settings are not causing that. It would have to be something software/driver-wise in your system.

For it to be 2 separate programs sounds like it could be System drivers or spyware/virus related

Normally, yes I would suggest memory timings could cause that but since you have tested as much as you have I think that is pretty much ruled out.

I don't ever have that issue, so I don't think it is XP/Vista issue in particular. But then again I also do not use Either of those programs (Well KMPlayer I dont use, I use Firefox, so if you meant IE then yes I dont use either then)

Is it doing it often, or often enough for you to do a test? If so, go in and load your stable non overclock settings and use those for a while and see if the issue persists
