Hey, this isn't an issue as such, but I noticed in the "gigabyte x38/x48...etc etc" topic, that you say PCI-E OV Control should be set to +0.1v for stability.

Now, should I do this too? The frequency is still locked to 100mhz and RGB set to Auto, and I don't OC my two HD3870X2s (CCC's Overdrive nor Rivatuner have been terribly helpful).

Yeah, for sure for 4 GPU'z you may want to set RGB on fast or turbo and add .2 or so

I added +0.10v and set it to Turbo. I expected something bad, but what I got was anything but!!
Gameplay in Crysis Warhead seemed to be significantly faster. I haven't tested Crysis or anything else yet. But just seeing how smooth it was was amazing.
I can only imagine what the performance would be with RGB @ Turbo and one HD4870X2!! :D

Nice to hear! I would test out a few scenarios. Like fast and +.2-.3 and turbo and +.2-.3

Glad to see it has helped you smooth things out for sure. How much did you pay total for both cards?

Hence why I am getting only one HD4870X2 when I can. The TOP one by Asus looks like a very good one, so I might try and get it. I also need to get a Bluray reader and a 1tb external HDD, so I can start storing my movies on something that won't scratch...so easily.

Why external? Be cheaper to get a internal drive, or are you out of room in your case? if so, you still could save by getting a internal and a 5.25 to 3.5 converter to hold a Drive in
