I've increased MCH by 0.25v, and I am now letting it run through Test 7.

I'll let you guys know how this turns out.

It's a lost cause. Basically, I cannot get this ram to pass test 7 at it's rated timings/speed. If I loosen the timings up to something retarded like 5-7-7-24, everything is golden. But I think I'd rather have ram that will run at it's rated timings, in the case of most PC2-8500, 5-5-5-15.

Could you fellows suggest a kit that you would use with this board?

    I was looking at:

    OCZ
    Newegg.com - OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory

But really, there are so many 2GBx2 PC2-8500 kits out there...

    Mushkin XP2 Ascents are what I have on mine DDR2 1066 PC2 8500 2.1v 5-5-5-15

They weigh a ton with those massive Aluminum heat sinks. Perfect for 2 x 2 setups. Really tight fit (if at all possible) 1 x 4. Probably the coolest running memory out there. My board LOVES them. I like them alot too.
GA P35 DQ6 rev. 1.0, 2x2GB Mushkin XP2 Ascents, 2x2GB Mushkin XP2's DDR2-1066 PC2-8500, Intel Core 2 DUO E8600, 3.33Ghz with Gigabyte CPU Cooler, PNY GeForce 8800 GTS, Antec 900 Gaming Case and Antec True Power Trio 650w PSU, Hauppauge HVR 1600 TV Tuner, old Sony CD/RW that still kicks butt, Sony external DVD, Smart Card Reader, 4 Western Digital Caviar HDD's: 80Gb, 120Gb(usb,external, swap), 160Gb, 250Gb and 320Gb.

Running it all with Windows XP Pro SP3, Perry Mason and Della Street. Paul Drake's out on assignment. He's helping me locate 64-bit drivers for XP Pro x64 Edition that I'm working with now.

I'm a sucker for elaborate (see::effective/efficient) cooling solutions. Why void your warranty when you can get a great piece of hardware, pre-installed with an aftermarket cooler, for what, $10.00-20.00 premium? No contest.

    But here is a question:

the question on all of our minds:

    well, my mind anyway:

Could this be the board's fault?

I doubt at all it is the board, just shotty ram.

Get some Mushkins and be content with for sure stability
