Default Help with EP43-DS3L OC? Please

Hello, I am new to Gigabyte. New for Intel CPU's also. I have been with AMD forever and another board manufacture. I like my new system and Gigabytes boards now. My question is on the OC.

My new PC is mid range and was built to play newer games at reasonable frame rates. I was saving money I thought by getting an E7200 and OC to 3GHZ speed, but I still can't get it to OC.

    Vista Ultimate
    E7200 45nm CPU
PC PWR & COOLING PSU 500 watt 35amp single 12v rail.
    EP43-DS3L mobo
    ASUS 4850 video
    1Gx2 memory DDR2 1066 G.SKILL 5-5-5-15
ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro CPU cooler
    Seagate Barracuda SATA 3.0Gb/s Cache <script type="text/javascript">document.write(neg_specification_newli ne('16MB'));</script>16MB 250GB x2

I tried to OC the 2.5 stock speed of my CPU to 3GHZ with the below settings. BTW I can't get the advanced bios settings to show, how do I get my advanced settings open? I tried hitting CTRL F1 on boot and when I hit delete to get into the bios and I still do not get that to show these advanced settings. I'm using F7 updated bios. Board shipped with F2.

The PC will boot to the loading window screen then hangs to black screen.

Any help would be much appreciated, I would like to hit 3GHZ on this E7200.

Other notes, I have cleared cmos and changed back to default bios settings, only changing my memory voltage to 2.0, the memory says 2.0/2.1 on it. Memory will not show in CPUZ at full speed with defaults in bios set.

Default Re: Help with EP43-DS3L OC? Please

Those options you wrote above are all the options, did you mean something else? And the control + F1 hotkey will show some hidden things, but nothing will be hidden as far as overclocking in the MIT Section. To use that hotkey you must press it on the MAIN screen of the BIOS, and the screen will flash. Then all hidden settings are shown, which are not many, NONE in the MIT Section I do not think.

You should see some more voltages controls maybe with the hotkey? Not sure about the P43 since it is the budget model. If you do see them please let me know and I will advise you on the rest of the voltages.

Control + F1 should not be needed, since you may have to use it I need to ask about your flash. Did you load optimized defaults and save and apply after you flashed? If not, you need to do that to properly flash. Please See my guide >>>

As for getting you ram to boot at full speed, try these settings >>>
