If you are overclocking AT ALL, please DO set PCI Express freq to 100

DES, and ATI tools work ok here. But I do only have them installed for testing, and I do not use them or let them launch at startup or anything

Well good luck on getting the rest of your setup going. And glad to hear you are running a bit smoother now!
Thanks for your help! I finally had a stable system over the whole weekend so there's hope for my rig after all (I hope my inchy bit of optimism doesnt backfire :P). Well, the HDDLife has crashed after resuming from sleep, but it was running for some time to ensure that my HDD is SMART and tempwise ok.

VorlonUK: I have SP1 and latest updates installed.

Nice to hear you are up and running.

You can disable HDDLife from startup, or uninstall it if you like. I only suggested it for you to check with once, no need to run it always.
