    maybe is ur motherboard :O.. try test the 4stick in other mobo

    Im planning upgrade mi mobo to p45-ds3l with 4stick of crucial ballistix 8500

    but now i read this thread and im a little scare

    so far what i've been reading is that this board does not like 4 sticks of ram. You should do 2 x 2GB if you want 4 GB. Dont know if this is true or not.

    lower end P45 boards seem to have inherent issues with 4x1GB DIMMs... try the same settings with just 3GB and see if you can post

    if you get a DS3R or better you shouldn't have a problem with 4x1GB... also, i wouldn't recommend Crucial memory if you plan on geting a Gigabyte board... Mushkin, Geil or Kingston would be my top picks for memory

    That's great RAM... especially in Gigabyte boards... but for 2x2GB you'll have to tweak some settings a little bit to get stable... they'll look a little something like this

    that'll give you a stable system, but you can still optimise the performance by tightening the timings... of course, you'll have to start out loose to get stable first

    As for your testing of each stick one by one. Did you do this test at 1066 speeds? If not you do need to because if each stick will not pass at 1066 then it is a DOA stick

    The last page, you listed settings and said "This is what I tried exact at 4Ghz". I have several questions/issues with that. For one, I cannot advise you since you did not post what you had set, only what I suggested. So With those ranges I suggested there instead of what you have set I cannot tell you anything. So please, post your exact full settings you are trying, if you did not set something I suggested do so, or leave it blank in the list

    And secondly 1.25V vcore set in the BIOS FOR SURE is not going to post at 4Ghz

    I did test each sticks at 1066mhz and it all passed. The system is stable at 2 GB ( 2 x 1 GB) by your suggestion, but not at four sticks. Here's my exact settings as followed:

    My CPU Vcore is at stock at 1.25v. With these setting, it would not post with 4 sticks, but it would post and stable with 2 sticks at 1066mhz. However, it would run and post if underclocked to the speed to 800mhz.<!-- / message -->

    try upping your Static tRead to 12-14 just to get stable, also increasing vcore to 1.27 or 1.28V wouldn't hurt either
