P35 and P45 both will handle 4x1 8500 ram just fine, be sure it is compatible brand though or you may have issues. I suggest Mushkin, G.Skill, or Geil. There are a few others as well that work good.

And yes, the latest BIOS has all the previous fixes in them

Yes, you will be fine. Why would you think a 3 year old chipset/board could run them but not todays newest?

But yes, for sure you can use them

They just are not using the correct settings, P45 needs some advanced settings differently then P35 or 956P, just to get going. Once you get it going you can lower these to more normally used values

People always have issues with tons of brands and 4x1 because they try too tight of timings or not enough MCH voltage, ect. The list goes on.

Again, yes they will work just fine with any model of GA-P45

Since you already have them you will be fine likely. I have personally tested them, but MANY people do not get any speed crucial to work with a Gigabyte board stable. I think it is more of their newer models though

Get ready though, a P45 BIOS is WAY more advanced then the 965P BIOS. You will have TONS of settings compared to your board you have now

Kinda, those are not great overclockers, but if you just plan to run stock they will be fine. A-Data is better if you are looking for cheaper brands

What is your price range, Do you live in the US?

Well, not to sure if that CPU will do 4Ghz without Nitrous or Something like that.

I would say just get your board, and I will try to help you with the Crucial. Then if you do not get anywhere you can order some new ram.

But Like I said, those you see with issues are likely just not using the correct settings. I have tested them myself and they work fine
