If your RAM, regardless of brand is high voltage and your motherboard will not POST at default settings with it, "BE CAREFUL"!

I learned the hard way. My board did not want to POST with both 1.8v DIMM's installed. I could however POST with one DIMM installed every two or three attempts.

I did not take this into consideration when I updated my BIOS. I left both DIMM's installed during a BIOS flash. My board did not POST after the restart so I was unable to enter setup and select "Load Optimized Defaults".

As a result, the BIOS flash did not finish and turned my board into a square frisbie!

After that experience and a board RMA I have changed my priority steps for selecting RAM. If my board will not POST at default settings with the RAM I selected I will not use it.

MDDI, next time you have a brick board contact me before you RMA there is several things you can do to fix the BIOS. If you have a floppy set as first boot device, and installed, this is your first lifesaver. There is another way as well to avoid a RMA if you do not have a floppy installed, but I will not be posting that in public, if you would like to know about it PM me and I will forward the info to you.

Thanks for posting here, Not sure if the OP pm'd you or not but please do (in PM if you like) assure him about 2x2 and or Brands mentioned on page 3

ive read this whole topic, and i think somewhere in here in my answer i just dont know where im going wrong, nor what im suppose to do or change.

I was able to get a RMA from OCZ.. It turned out that one of my sticks seemed to be defective. So no matter how much I tried tuning the timings it didn't have any effect.
So I will get back to you once I have recieved the new RAM sticks.
