    Default GA-X48T-DQ6 and OCZ ram = random BSoD?

    Hi.
    I recently bought a GA-X48T-DQ6 Motherboard, installed 2 x 2 gb OCZ DD3 PC3 12800 platinum, an Intel Q9550 and a Gigabyte HD4870x2 graphics card.
    All this runs off a 750W psu.
    I am experiencing random BSoD's, random boot up loops (comp turns on fans, and LEDs, then shuts down after 3-5 secs, then boots up again. This can go on for 1-3 times).
    From what I have read on this forum, it could have something to do with RAM timings. But I have no clue what to set.
    Everything is running default settings apart from the CPU finetune (+0.5 to get the 2.83ghz)
    The RAM is listed to be 7-7-7-24. and runs at 1333 mhz.
    Any ideas what I could do?

    2x2GB needs a few things changed from Auto for sure. Your triple reboot means incorrect settings. A double, just so you know is normal when making changes that are acceptable.

    Since you said you changed the CPU Fine tune I have to ask/advise, did you load optimixed defaults when you started your system? If not you do have to, load optimized defaults, then set your ram voltage to the spec on the sticker save and apply and reboot back to the BIOS. Then make any other changes you want to make such as disk changes (Be sure you do this before you load windows again)

    Please post me your Full actual BIOS settings, and what BIOS you are using and I will advise you of some settings to try >>>

    Yeah, it should be .5 unless you do not want to use it. I just suggested you load that because it seemed you had not yet, and you do have to so that it picks up the CPU Properly is all.

    I do have to ask, as you should always do on day one. Have you ran memtest86+ on each stick to be sure you do not have a dead one? DOA Happens, and best to find out now. Run Memtest86+ on each stick, one by one in slot one at stock rated speeds, timings and manually set voltages.

    About the RAM.. I ran the mem test within Vista, and had a 19hr run on prime95 v. 2.56.
    So I have a pretty good feeling my RAM are "ok" :)
    I will post a reply as soon as I have tested the new settings.
    PS. The sticks are VERY hard to remove on this type of MB when you have a HD4870x2 mounted in the primary PCI-Ex port :)

    Those advanced settings tighten up the way your memory processes information, and improves overall speed and performance.

    To set them you must have the other things you list in the second part of your post already set. Do you already have those things set and bootable? If so then you may just need higher initial settings then what I provided. If you do have all of that lower part set, let me know and I will provide you with some different advanced timings to try out.

    Such as these, set all high and then lower one at a time later once you get going >>>>

    Did you check on the sticker? +0.15V is only 1.65V and most 1333 or above is 1.7-1.8 or more.

    And hey, when you choose a memory multiplier are you choosing one with a symbol or letter beside it? Like 4.00D or 4.00#, if so which are you trying?

    Fixed the voltage. Turns out I read the voltage wrong. Needed +0.35V (1.888V) to reach the listed 1.9V for the RAM. As for the multiplier, I have been trying with 4.00D. Not sure what the difference between the A, B, C and D settings are though.
    Tried to set the timings to the highest of the ones you suggested last. Couldn't get the system to boot.. Did a triple and quad boot before letting me into the BIOS.
    Going to try with the lowest settings to see if that has any different effects.
