With F9 I tried to overclock really very softly. Even when I setup +10 Mhz have no post Bios :(((. I will also try F8 today and will inform about results. Thanks for your help !

This is not Windows fault as have the same event when I shutting down from the Dos. With this mobo I also bought new Enermax power supply... mayby this is because of him ?

P45 BIOS is VERY tricky when it comes to getting going on overclocking because of ram settings

Can you get 3.2 again? If so, give me your settings used and I will again advise you of what to do for 3.4 and see how that goes. 3.6 may be a bit to much to ask out of your CPU without doing some fine tunning to voltages

I dont think it is your PSU at all, likely just your ram being tricky to get going

Good news from me ! I made 3.5 (still with F7) with temps ca 46-50 in idle. Now I have OCZ 1066 Mhz and everything working very well (I noted that few persons report problems with OCZ on P45)

Now I'm fighting with router Dlink - from www I have downloading speed ca 500-600kb/s but from torrent max 30-40kb/s only :( I tried with forwarding ports but this doesnt work for me :((( But this is another story I know that this is not place to talking about this.

Nice to see you are getting somewhere with your overclock, if you need S3 sleep you should be working on getting it with the newer BIOS though....

Torrent speed all depends on how many seeders and leechers there are and what ports you and them are using, and whether or not each file uses DHT or not...... so I would not be testing my speeds based on that. Also, keep in mind MANY IPS's try to block torrent downloads so that could also be why

Do you get normal speeds from a test like this? >>>

Hello Lsdmeasap ! Sorry for no answer from me from long long time - please forgive me. I upgraded my computer and now I have Core2Duo E8400, mobo the same. Have noted from different forums that 4,0 GHz is possible. Kindly asking for your "bios magic recipe" :D

Wow, wondered why the old thread was brought up

Please post for me your full specs again so I can be sure. And link your ram if you can, if not tell me the model # and how much you have

4Ghz is a breeze, provided you have a non stock cooler

    Hello !
    my actual spec as below:

    Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS4
E8400 + Thermalright Si 128 (with 12 cm fan so no problem with good cooling)
    OCZ Technology 4GB DDR2 2X2 1066MHz Reaper HPC CL5 (5-5-5-18)
    EVGA 8800 GTS 320 MB
    ENERMAX 650W

In my opinion 3,8 is quite enought for me.

OK, well this should be good for 3.8. Do keep in mind you will need to find your CPU/Boards own stable Vcore and Vtt >>>>

Stayed on 3,7 only as with 3,8 (cpu vcore even 1,4, ram all settings on auto) have errors while windows loading. Still trying and revert with results.
My old E6400 had better overclocking potencial...
