    Hi and Happy new Year!!!

    I bought the same board a few days ago and I have the same problem (rebooting) - Especially when playing WOW.
    I already installed the latest Bios F9 and done most of the adjustments that have been suggested to the other owners of the board.
    My system Configuration is:

    CPU Intel Core 2 Duo 7300
    MB Gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3
    Memory 2x2GB OCZ OCZ2V8002G
    G/A Gigabyte HD 3850 (GV-RX385512H) - with latest bios and Gigabyte suggested drivers

    The most stable configuration of my PC is with:
    MCH core 1.28V
    tRFC 60

    I would appreciate any Help!!!

    Does it fail with any other games or Orthos or memtest86+?

    Hi guys!

    system: E7300 (266*10 default), EP43-DS3 (BIOS F9), 2 x 1 GB DDR2-1066 (Kingmax 1066 Mhz DDR2 Ram (KLED48F-B8KS6))

    problem: I can't reach 1:1 dram:fsb ratio, my RAM's are working only in DDR2-800 mode.

    I downloaded the instruction pdf file from here (http://www.kingmax.com/product/tinyb...stem%20CL6.pdf), but doesn't help. In the BIOS I tried with these settings (like Kingmax said in pdf): standard performance, system memory multiplier: 4.0A (266*4) , 1.9 and after 2.0 Voltage, 6-6-6-18 Memory Timing, but after save and reboot the system crash and restore the old BIOS. (Boot failure etc., the last settings may not coincide with current H/S status.) Other BIOS settings are default.

    What can I do, more Voltage maybe? thx, if you have any solution.

    Hi again !!!

    My memory can't pass the memtest86+. The system halts!!!
    I had to remove the board battery 3 times and reload bios in order to restart the system.
    I only play wow so i don't have more info about system behavior in other games

    You would have to run 533 FSB to run 1:1 with your ram. As for what settings you should use, well that all depends on your overclock. At stock speed, yes you should use what you linked, but since it is not working I am not sure why. Please fill out the template above your post with the exact full settings you are using so I can see, maybe you have one to low that the PDF does not mention

    Hi again ... still no luck!!!
    I tried all the combination's but the system keeps rebooting after a couple of minutes in the game interface (without playing).

    Any other suggestions?

    PS 1. Why do we need to make all these adjustments if we don't what to overclock???

    PS 2. Yesterday as I was testing my PC I changed my graphics adapter Gigabyte HD 3850 with an old one Ati X1600XT. The system seems more stable but it fails (stuck) from time to time. I searched the net and i found out that some users with GA-EP43 DS3 and HD 3850 have some stability issues. So I am beginning to think that there is a possibility that my problem might have to do with the cooperation of board and the graphics adapter ...

    PS3. I use Windows XP, not Vista, and my PC needs more than a minute to shut down .... That thing seems weιrd to me ...

    Any Ideas???

    Yes, you're right of course, I believed it that DRAM:FSB Ratio 1:1, if (in may case) CPU FSB 266 Mhz (266*4) and RAM's memory clock 266 Mhz. (266*4).

    So, I tried to run the modules apiece with 1.9V, 6-6-6-18 at 1066 Mhz and working fine, both. Afterward I tried the 2 ram together without dual channel (in the Channel 00), 2.0 V and 2.08 V and not working, boot 3 times, restore, etc...In dual channel the same, than I mentioned it yesterday. Even the underclocking not working with 2 ram. (667 Mhz)

    @ Zios

    All those changes are needed because Auto is setup for 2x1GB so the user can get into the BIOS and set things themselves. These are overclocker boards not OEM so users should plan to set things. Auto may work sometimes, but not generally very well.

    You need to post me the full settings you set that failed so I can best advise you back.

    I see no issue with 3850 and this board, but the P43-DS3 is a cheaper board so I dont know for sure about P43. Can you link me to what threads you seen this posted at?

    Did you add ICH Voltage, and are you Sure your PSU is good enough for that card + your system?

    So you have some bad slots on your board? You lost me I think with your testing comments about slots.

    I do see this issue with your settings >>>

    Static tRead Value.........................:5 Auto (all) << Set both to 7/8-10 for now 5 is way to low for that speed

    And at 1066 I would set the ram voltage to 1.9 or 2.0 as 1.8 may be too low

    So you have some bad slots on your board? You lost me I think with your testing comments about slots.

    I do see this issue with your settings >>>

    Driving Strength Profiles
    Driving Strength ............................ << Set to ram speed or the next one up, test both

    Channel A & B
    Static tRead Value.........................:5 Auto (all) << Set both to 7/8-10 for now 5 is way to low for that speed

    And at 1066 I would set the ram voltage to 1.9 or 2.0 as 1.8 may be too low
    Thx very much , static tread: 8, driving strenght 1066 and 2.0 V, and it work's perfect in dual mode.
