TY LS, Never mind about the Red, it is just the background color where you type in the numbers. I will lower these numbers to 8 and run memetest86 again. I will advise further progress. So far so good

    much Appreciated, Riley810

OK, ran Memtest all night 18 passes no errors. Stasio, thanks for the heads up. What will this new bios do, should I get it? Also, LS you mentioned in another thread about raising PCI-E Overvolt Control by .1, should I do this?

    Thanks ,

Da MN Stasio, you had me looking around! HAHA Thought maybe I posted a wrong BIOS page for him or something.

Nice to hear it! Now you can save that BIOS as a Stable Profile and start working on a new tweaked one with tighter timings if you like (which you should if you used all highest I suggested as your starting point, it will not perform the best). F11 on the MAIN page is save, F12 is load.

Beta BIOS is all up to you, if you are error free and do not have issues you may want to wait for a final.

PCI-E overvolt is up to you, If you have a large card I say for sure yes. I always do just for added stability no matter the card I am using though

OK, I will tweak bios some tonight and test again. Also, I do not see "PCI-E Overvolt" in my bios, Am I missing something or does this board not have this option.

    Thanks, Riley810

Hi again LS, Here is the current bios template for the board. I plan on installing Vista 64 bit tomorrow. Would you be so kind and have a look for me. I didn't change ICH Core, because I wasn't sure if my Video card would handle ok. Couple of question though. Should I load Vista 64 bit with only 1 stick of ram installed? and what does driving strength "1066" do for the set up? please let me know if I missed anything.
    Much appreciated, Riley810

Looks good. I am not sure what exactly the driving strength profiles change. But in my tests one higher then ram speed seems to work best.

If you are stable like that will all your ram you can install Vista of any version just fine with all ram in

Hi LS, Reporting back. I loaded Vista 64 bit today and installed without any issues. Kept both sticks of ram in. Loaded chipset drivers , Lan , Audio and Nvidia beta drivers 180.43 along with EVGA Precision 1.3.3 . So far Vista 64 seems more responsive than 32 bit. I want to thank you for all your hard work, I really appreciate the time you devote to this support group. Your knowledge is invalueble and frankly, I would have been a little lost without it. I will turn down some settings later on and report back. I would also like to seek your help when I an ready to overclock as well.

Thanks again, I will be reading this forum regularly, Riley410
