    My settings are exactly the same as what I have last specified in this forum.

    I don't mean to side track things, but I have a new issue. On Black Friday I picked up some low priced memory, which I figured I would use to bump my total up from 4 GB to 6 GB. I picked up a Crucial Ballistix 2 GB kit, 2 (1 GB 240 pin unbuff PC2 8500) modules. The original 4 GB (2 2 GB) modules I had loaded in DDR2_1 and DDR2_3. So I inserted the new modules iin DDR2_2 and DDR2_4. When I boot the system it flahses the GD1/GD2 and MD1/MD2 LEDs and then repeats that process ovr and over until it shuts off, start back up and repeats the whole process over and over again. Does this means that the new memory is bad? Those LEDs seem to imply some sort of overvoltage. I thought this new memory is compatible the memory I had in there already (described earlier in this thread). Any suggestions on what to do here? Should I return this memory or is there a setting I can change here?

    You Need to post me your full exact settings again so I can be sure which you mean and what you are using!!!

    I cannot guess what you are trying based on some posts several days back

    So please just post for me what you are trying as of now... If it is the exact same as some other post you have made copy and paste I suppose. Three days I have asked you for settings to help you and you wont give them up?

    You cannot mix ram modules and or brands. You "MAY" be able to get them to work together but the chance is slim and it is going to take alot of tweaking since they are different sizes and will eventually just give you more headaches then it is worth...

    But yes you would need to make several changes when going from 2x2 to 2x2+2x1

    Since you are unstable with your normal ram/ram amount why are you trying to mix ram and make your issue worse? Please do take that ram out until you get going better then you can maybe try it if you want to waste your time and possibly corrupt your DATA, but I would personally put them in another PC around the house or sell them

    Regarding the memory, I recall having added memory from different vendors and sizes to a machine I had previously without any problems. I do not do this very often so perhaps I was simply lucky that one time around. I didn't know that this motherboard was so fragile that it could not handle this configuration. I'll try to return the memory and get my money back.

    Ya, never suggested to mix ram brands or even different sets from the same company. OEM machines (Dell, HP, ECT) may work noticeably ok like that as they would use very loose timings but hidden data corruption would likely be for sure

And after looking, your ram's max allowed voltage under warranty is 1.85V so I doubt at all you can do 1066 with it with that voltage. 2.0-2.1 would be needed and even then with these chips rated at 555-18 @ 800Mhz they may not do 1066 at all (Maybe with 1.9-.20V with 666-20 timings?)

    CPU Vcore….……….........................:1.45000 (How high can I safely go here? << All depends on your cooling and your actual voltage after vdrop. What you set here is less, sometimes much less in windows at idle. 1.365 actual MAX per Intel. If your temps are good you can safely go 1.365-1.4 or so before I would worry. So check to see what any settings gets you. Like use stick settings that work but set this high and see what your vdrop is so you can keep that in mind. Depending on your chip you may need 1.26-1.3 or so actual to get 3.2 to boot, maybe more maybe less. But thing is for sure you want to set this higher then you need to be able to boot for sure, then you can lower it later
