Default Overclock values reset after every fresh start

OK, I searched everywhere on google but could not find any reason or solution as to why this is happening. I have a GA-P35-S3G motherboard which I have been overclocking for a month probably. The problem is that whenever I shutdown my computer & start it, my PC reboots twice or thrice even before showing the graphic card screen & then all my overclock values are replaced by the default values. I always have to press Del then, load the saved profile settings from CMOS & save the settings. Only after doing this overclocks my PC. This has started occurring just 4-5 days ago. Before that, my PC used to start properly with all the overclock settings. I have already run memtest & my RAM is fine.

What happens if you set Performance Enhance to Standard?

That sounds exactly like what it's supposed to do, if it's configured with a bad setting or two. If you list your BIOS settings, someone can probably help you.

    My understanding, too:
    two reboots = normal procedure to accomodate certain parameter changes;
three reboots = 'bad parameters' reset to defaults response...

As noted - you will be able to get it fixed here - find one of the 'empty parameter list' templates here, and post your settings...

    Good luck!

Ok figured it out. The CPU EIST function was missing in the bios which is really strange. So I just did a 'Load Optimized Defaults' before overclocking & now my PC has rebooted with the overclock settings implemented. Thanx guys for showing ur appreciation in this.

Hey, looks like my problem has not solved yet. The EIST function has again disappeared. Why has this happened again ? Anyways u were asking for my settings....here they are:

Hmm Eist should not be disappearing at all. Are you using the latest BIOS? If so did you load and apply optimized defaults and save/reboot after you flashed? If not you must do this after a flash.

If you are not using the latest BIOS please do update it as it may very well help solve your issue. Please read this Qflash guide, and DO NOT USE @BIOS>>>
    http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/bios...h-guide-27576/

Here is your boards BIOS page >>>
    GIGABYTE - Support - Motherboard - BIOS - GA-P35-S3G

Strangely I do not find other revisions, so that must be the only one made of that model.

As for your settings, here would be some optimal better performing ones if you like, and as you said you loose your settings every time they may be incorrect in Auto. Likely if your ram tests fine you should still set 2.0V as it may help, and your CPU voltage may not be enough for your overclock so it fails

    Robust Graphics Booster___________ [Fast]
    CPU Clock Ratio ____________ [9]
    CPU Host Clock Control_ [Enabled]
    CPU Host Frequency (MHz)__________ [333]
    PCI Express Frequency (Mhz)_______ [100]
System Memory Multiplier (SPD)____ [2.40] = 800Mhz ram speed
DRAM Timing Selectable_______ SPD __ [Manual]

    Performance Enhance = [Standard]

    CAS Latency Time________________ 4
    Dram RAS# to CAS# Delay_________ 4
    Dram RAS# Precharge Delay_______4
    Precharge Delay (tRAS)__________ 12

^^^ Does your ram sticker say 4-4-4-12? Just checking ^^^

Can you give me a link to it please
    ACT to ACT Delay (tRRD)_________3-4
Rank Write to READ Delay________ 3-6
    Write to Precharge Delay_________4-6
    Refresh to ACT Delay______________38-42
    Read to Precharge Delay__________ 2-5
    Static tRead Value_______________7-10
Static tRead Phase Adjust________ [Auto] << always Auto

    System Voltage Control____ [Manual]
DDR2 OverVoltage Control__ [+0.1V] =1.9V (if you ram is 2.0 or 2.1V it may need at least 2.0, but you said it is fine so you can likely leave)

FSB OverVoltage Control___ [Normal] << may want to add +0.1 for stability here as well
    (G)MCH OverVoltage Control [+0.1V]
CPU Voltage Control_______ [1.325000V] << may need more for your overclock

Limit CPUID Max. to 3.....................: [Disabled]
    No-Execute Memory Protect............: [Enabled]
    CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E)................: [Disabled]
CPU Thermal Monitor 2(TM2) ...........: [Disabled] << please always have enabled
CPU EIST Function.........................: [Disabled] (again disappeared)

I m srry I forgot to update my signature. I m using the F3a version & not F4 because its the only one that allows me to overclock my CPU & none other. I checked the RAM sticker & it says 5-5-5 but this restart problem was occurring even before I tightened my RAM timings & this morning it happened again.

    Here are my settings again:

    Robust Graphics Booster___________ [Auto]
    CPU Clock Ratio ____________ [9]
    CPU Host Clock Control_ [Enabled]
    CPU Host Frequency (MHz)__________ [333]
    PCI Express Frequency (Mhz)_______ [100]
System Memory Multiplier (SPD)____ [2.40] = 800Mhz ram speed
DRAM Timing Selectable_______ SPD __ [Manual]

    Performance Enhance = [Standard]

    CAS Latency Time________________ 5
    Dram RAS# to CAS# Delay_________ 5
    Dram RAS# Precharge Delay_______5
    Precharge Delay (tRAS)__________ 18

Can you give me a link to it please
    ACT to ACT Delay (tRRD)_________3[Auto]
    Rank Write to READ Delay________3[Auto]
    Write to Precharge Delay_________6[Auto]
    Refresh to ACT Delay____________52[Auto]
    Read to Precharge Delay__________3[Auto]
    Static tRead Value_______________3[Auto]
Static tRead Phase Adjust________ 0 [Auto]

    System Voltage Control____ [Manual]
    DDR2 OverVoltage Control__ [+0.1V] =1.9V
FSB OverVoltage Control___ [+0.1V] (as u said)
    (G)MCH OverVoltage Control [+0.1V]
CPU Voltage Control_______ [1.365000] << may need more for your overclock

Limit CPUID Max. to 3.....................: [Disabled]
    No-Execute Memory Protect............: [Enabled]
    CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E)................: [Disabled]
CPU Thermal Monitor 2(TM2) ...........: [Enabled]
CPU EIST Function.........................: [Disabled] (don't understand y its
    disappearing)

Well I see a huge problem (And likely why you thought F4 did not work) >>>
Static tRead Value_______________3[Auto] << Way to low use 7 or 8 manually set

How about ram sticker for voltages? Can you give me a link to the exact ram?
