Ya, at very high speeds prolonged test 5 or 7 will get the NB and ram pretty hot so that is likely what it is

Well i ran memtest86 a few times when computer was cold, had just turned it on, and it passes everytime, but after computer has been on for 20 mins it fails, so must be heat related, im making a custom copper heatsink with 80mm fans to cool my ram, that stuff gets really hot . Here are my current settings that are completely stable on all test, tell me what you think ? anything you see i could change ?. I tried the 333 strap and got it stable, but that strap only lets me have a really high fsb, and lower memory speed, or fast ram, and low fsb, due to the high dividers. I tried the 400 strap and got where i wanted it, but was getting lots of errors in memtest86, had to back off alot to get rid of them. I have had the best luck with the 266 strap, it has put me more than i wanted, but i seem to get better latency on the 400 strap than the 266 at close to same speeds, anyway tell me what you think of my setup, and thanks again buddy, you have really helped me out alotttt i have recommended a few people from xtreme system forums to you that are having trouble with there gigabyte boards.

Strange that Vtt gives you errors if you add any, you should for sure need more then stock at 510FSB

Can you lower these any >>

tWTR..........................................13 << should be able to use 3-6
    tWR............................................6 << Maybe 4-5

Ok i set those settings , it lowered my latency, and no issues since i reset those. Hmm so i should be able to add vtt, will try again and see what happens. Thanks again.

Well i am able to add vtt, but i cannot add any mch core voltage at all, but im happy with it, is very stable.

Now on another note, i have tested all straps with my memory, and your right the 333 strap does give the best performance, all straps i have to run a trd of 8, only on the 400 strap can i run a trd of 7, so i have done alot of testing. The 400 strap is bugged, its only the 2.66 divider, i dont have a link, but its all over the xtreme system forums, seems like its just a known thing, it affects p35,p45 chipsets, i dont know i guess thats what numerous people say on the forums, i think its should be 3.5 , but in reality is 2.3, anyway.

Now i have another question if you know of this thing i have stumbled upon, there are guys there running dfi, asus boards, we have very very close settings on fsb, memory speed, timings etc, we have compared everest scores, im getting 10,349, there getting with same settings 11,000 ??????? after talking with a few of them, they claim that gigabyte boards overclock well high fsb etc, but the bandwidth on them is terriable, now i dont know what to make of this, but the scores do tend to point in that direction. I also copied some settings on anadtech.com i went there reading, and copied there setup for fsb, memory, timings etc, there getting like 10,800 everest scores, im getting with same settup, 10,000 so im thinking there is something to this, no matter how high i go on my board, with 4 sticks or 2 sticks, i cannot break 11,000, and im way higher on my settings than they are, same Pl, any thoughts on this, dont get me wrong i love my board, just curious about this if you know anything about this, or why this is happining, not that everest scores matter so much, but it does indicate something, thanks again buddy for all your help and insight.

Ok update, when i run the extreme profile instead of the standard profile, it gives me much more bandwidth in everest, and other applications, but my display driver keeps going in and out, it fails, then comes back on, could be cause i only have a gt 6200 kinda weak video card. What do those settings of standard, turbo, extreme do ? i have always set it to standard, boy are we having fun thanks again for your time and patience.

Hmm, I have 2.00, 2.66. and 3.33 on my 400 Strap. What did you mean by 3.5 should be, in reality 2.5?

What score is this you are asking about in everest, there is many benchmarks? Are you using the EXACT same ram and timings? Are you looking at their scores or just being told?

Less sticks (2x1) would get you the fastest scores as there is less chips to move data across. Higher settings? That would mean lower scores
