Those settings override your manual settings, and change ram timings (Static Tread, and ram voltages) and often times a few others.

Best to use standard, or have things in auto.. So you can see how that is a no brainer. If you are getting better scores, that means your manual settings are not set as good as you could manually set them

Display driver is failing likely due to incorrect settings and or voltages caused by that setting

Hey buddy, i would like you to look at my settings again, you told me that putting the board on extreme instead of standard is a no no. That my settings and timings must not be as tight as they should be, and i should go to auto instead of extreme, well when i put board on extreme my everest score goes up almost 400 points, look at my settings, and you tell me where i could tighten up ? i dont see where thats possiable ?, the extreme setting seems to work well, im not getting video card problems anymore, im just trying to understand why the score and performance go up so much, i feel im as tight as i can go.

OK, so you want to know how to manually make your scores as good in standard and extreme performance enhance right?

This thread is so long, I am not sure what exact ram you have now and how much. Mind adding your full specs to your signature?

But these would be things I would lower >>>

Ok tried the settings you gave me no difference, wont lower than a trd of 8. Im tired of trying to get this board to perform on the level of other boards im seeing, time for a new motherboard. Thank you for your help and all your time, i have learned alot of things from you and this forum and its a great place. I ordered a dfi ut 45 trs2, will have months of fun with that bios, thanks and keep up the good work.

Well at 1200+ Ram speed you likely wont be able to do tRD 7 on any board

Wow, yeah DFI Bios will have you tied up for a while.

Good luck, and sorry to hear you leave Gigabyte!
