Yes, higher the speed or strap you will have to use higher trd.

Sounds like you just may need a bit more or less volts somewhere for the profile you are talking about to be stable.

And I really dont think any ram is going to be stable for you at 444-12 above 950Mhz, I have seen a few here and there that can do 900-950 at 444-12 with insane voltage applied but not many.

Ok thanks i didnt understand the straps, i couldnt get those settings to pass memtest, without raising my static tread way up, which defeats the purpose to me in have 1300 memory. Im now running 200mgz strap instead of the 266. I am now able to get a static tread of 7, and pass memtest. I was wondering about those straps and what effect they had on performance and things. You have taught me alot. My current setting which i will post, i have stock mch voltate and cpu termanation, if i add voltage to them, i cant boot. I will post my setting and you tell me what you think, thanks again, this has been very educational.

    Get old micron modules
some of the fastest ddr2 chips ever made

    I have a couple of old (the new ones suck, no micron chips) crucial ballistic 2x1gb 8500 that do 1000 mhz 4 4 4 12 @ 2.22 - 2.24v. They go as high as 1200 at standard 5 5 5 15 timing. The 24/7 setting I used to use is 900 mhz 4 4 4 12 @ 2.22v on my old p35 board

I dont think they will do 1000 mhz with that latency in the summer though
Its cold here in sweden now and 15-16 degrees celsius in my bed room with the window open and I have a 80mm fan blowing right at the memory.

This is what im using atm for 24/7
    http://img136.imageshack.us/my.php?i...llisticdh9.jpg
The bandwidh is a little over 9gb/s
edit lowered the sub timings and reached 9.5 gb/s

    edit typos
    added pic and more info

Well i guess i dont know what to say, i keep getting stable settings, then i try to tweak the settings in memset and apply them to my bios, then i dont pass memtest86, so i set them back to where they passed, then those settings fail, im so freaking frustrated with this memory, how can it pass all the test one day, and not the next. Even when i set the loosest timinings in the bios, it fails memtest86, sometimes its 80 errors, sometimes its 1000s all in test 5.

Is it only the memory timeings that affect whether its passes memtest86 ? what other factors are involved ?. Sorry to drive you nuts with all these problems.

Here are my current settings, now i just checked it in memtest86 its passed, then i tested it again 10 mins later, and had 16 errors in test 5 ??? what in the world is going on here ?. Now the sub timings that you see here, are all how they are listed in memset, in the bios i have only set the static tread value, all other settings are auto, so the ones you see on the chart are is what is showing up in memset, the trfc seems really high, i was able to lower it to 52 in memset and it ran fine in windows. So is the problem i need to change my auto settings with real settings of mine own ? cause i have tried that, but taking the timings in memset, and applying them to the bios, i get errorsssssssssssss. I will buy you a set of ram if you can tell , and get my errors to go away.

Well the higher speed you go no matter if you can boot with a low trd or not it isnt going to be stable, same applies with straps. You should be using the B or D straps

    Try this >>>>>

Well i tried your settings to the tee, and the 400mgz runs, but heres the thing, if i add any cpu term voltage, or mch voltage over stock, wont boot, put voltage back to stock it boots and runs fine, now the big thing, still dont pass memtest86 i tried all the suggestions you gave me from tight all the way to the loosest, i still get errors, and i cannot pass prime 95, im at my witts end, im done, my computer runs fine, its very fast, all seems great, yes i have memory errors, but i have just reached the point i cant deal with this anymore, im going to just run my computer as is see how things go. Ran memtest this morning with my settings and it passed, went to work, ran it again, it failed, i cant win. Thank you for all your help, you have been just great, i just cant deal with this anymore, i will live with the errors, i need to get away from this for awhile. Maybe i have bad memory sticks. Keep up the great work lsdasap, your one awesome gigabyte dude.

Just to give you a update, i finally got my memory stable, and the whole system stable, im now able to pass memtest86 everytime, and prime 95, super pi 32m. I had to take a break from all this, was driving me nuts, thanks for your great help and understanding, your awesome buddy.

I still have onething that i wonder about, if i add any cpu term voltage over stock settings wont boot, im running it at stock seems fine. I was able to really tighten up my timings to. Last question im going to order 2 more gigs of the same memory, i really want 4gb vista is very hungary for memory, do you think i will have any problems running 4x1 ?, dont want to order till i get your advice on this, these kits are hard to come by, and i have one on hold for me, i cant thank you enough. Here are my current settings that are working.
