    Default GA-EP35-DS3L & GTX280 or 4870X2?

I bought this board earlier in the year and was planning on upgrading my graphics card to a GTX 280 or a 4870 X2. I was concerned that due to the size of these cards it would block some or all of my SATA ports. Does anyone have this board with the same card (s) or similar? Just making sure it is ok based on your experience.

You should have loads of room for the Sata ports. I have a 8800GTS which is essentially the same size (bar possibly length) and i have four extra ports.

As far as i know, both the cards you mention are Double Slot cards, meaning you can't use the pci-e slot immediately below. Gigabyte though have taken large graphics cards into account and the first row of sata ports only align to the PCi-e X1 slots, which are far away from the PCi-e X16 slot. So basically there is nothing in the way on your board when using a full length double slot graphics card and nor are any of the Sata ports obstructed.

    My Board:-
    GIGABYTE - Support - Motherboard - BIOS - GA-P35C-DS3R (rev. 2.0)
    Your Board:-
    GIGABYTE - Product - Motherboard - Overview - GA-EP35-DS3L
