Cheers, to tell you the truth im not quite sure where to start. From the last setting you gave me in this thread i only changed 3 or 4 settings and it started working. Settings were:-
    Before After
    (G)MCH Fequency:- Auto to 333
System Memory Multi:- 2.66D to 2.40B
    Memory Frequency:- 885 to 854

    CPU Vcore:- Auto to 1.425v
    MCH Core:- 1.26v to 1.30v

Before it wasnt working at 3ghz or 3.2ghz but after it seems stable. All other settings have been left the same since the beginning.

Are the voltage fluctuations im getting in CPUz and the temperatures normal then?

    Cheers,

Yeah, all that is normal. Missed your post on page two till now! Sorry

Ya, temps look acceptable. Now you can try less MCH and tighten up your ram timings

N00B alert! Sorry ive not much knowledge on ram timings (have read through many other posts but its still a little greek to me, im good at following instructions though) By tightening up the timings you mean the following settings:-

    tRRD..................................: 5
    tWTR.................................: 12
    tWR...................................: 14
    tRFC..................................: 68
    tRTP..................................: 6
    Command Rate (CMD) ..........: 2

    Static tRead Value...............: 10

Should i keep dropping? them until it stops responding and testing well in Memtest?

Also what MCH am i looking to achieve? 266?

    Thanks.

    Ya, I mean those.

    tRRD..................................: 5 << 3-4
tWTR.................................: 12 << 3-6 (You can safely jump right to this range)
tWR...................................: 14 << 4-6 (You can safely jump right to this range)
    tRFC..................................: 68 << 52-62
    tRTP..................................: 6 << 2/3-5
    Command Rate (CMD) ..........: 2

    Static tRead Value...............: 10 << 6/7-10

MCH you should do either first or last, but ya you can use 266 or 333 depending on speeds you are running

As for MCH voltage, as low as you can get it and still be stable is best. But you may not be able to get it down to far but ya never know without trying.

Ok cool i'll have a play.

Im on 333 with the MCH, this will change the System Memory Multiplier if i lower it to 266 right

Does the System Memory Multiplier need playing with too? Its on 2.40B at the mo which gives a Memory Freq of 854. Should i set it to something thats close to that after lowering MCH to 266.

So in essence lower is better on timing settings i guess.

    Cheers.

Yes, it will change the available Memory Multipliers so you will have to use 2.5. It may or may not work at that strap either, you will just have to play with it and see

Yes, lower is better but not too low or you will fail memtest

Ok i think im getting somewhere now. Ive bumped the OC upto 3.4 and lowered the timings a fair bit. Memtest seemed to pass ok on test 2 and 5 though it needs a longer run. Prime was ok for a few hours too. Temps were reaching just under 70c. Strangely the CPU Vcore voltage recorded by CPUz and Everest seems lower than when i had the OC at 3.2? It fluctuates between 1.312v and 1.328v.

Current quick test stable settings are:

Is there anything else i can change? Are these settings any good? Dont really know where to go from here....except maybe 3.6ghz

Ya, Voltage drops will vary from setting amount to setting amount in the BIOS, so if a higher voltage is giving you a larger drop that fails you will just have to try the next bump up in the BIOS

All look good! You may need to add some Vtt manually to keep that stable or go to 3.6
