It only runs normally when you click the .exe, unless otherwise set to like I said

I use and have used several old versions and many new versions in vista 32 and 64, nothing from memset runs at startup unless you set it as a startup item or click save instead of apply
As I said, i know it was MemSet, see below

Why aint you replying to my post Today 12:11 PM

    MemSet.exe
    TVicPort.dll
    drivers\TVicPort.sys
    drivers\TVicPort64.sys
You can get TVicPort.sys and TVicPort64.sys in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers and TVicPort.dll in C:\WINDOWS (after the installation of memset)

Ahh! Maybe it is because you have driver signing enabled? It is by default in Vista x64, I disable it so I have no issues with Memset, and even when enabled I do not have any issues with it causing a slow bootup. Do you want some info about how to sign your own drivers?

I did look thru my logs, and do see information about the driver loading... so it does load up you are right. But it does not slow my bootup AT ALL, so maybe you had some other programs slowing your boot maybe?

Time zones are displayed different to each user, so I am not sure what post you are talking about when you say I did not reply at 12:11? Did I miss your thread? If so, where at?

Yes I have driver signing on. As far as I know it's not possible to disable it!? I don't know why MemSet cause slow startup for me but as soon as I remove it, everything is back to normal. It would be useful to know how to sign my own drivers but I never had the need for it. And I don't need MemSet for everyday use

Here is the post you missed http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/new-...tml#post271589

Ahh! Ok, sorry I missed all that buddy!

I can tell you using performance enhance on anything but standard is going to fluctuate your ram voltage above what you set

Try this for 1066, it has some loose timings, but just trying to get you in there is all >>>

    Robust Graphics Booster__________ [Fast]
    CPU Clock Ratio _________________ [9]
    CPU Host Clock Control_ [Enabled]
    CPU Host Frequency (MHz)_________ [333]
    PCI Express Frequency (Mhz)_______ [100]
    C.I.A. 2________________________ [Disabled]
    System Memory Multiplier (SPD)_____ [3.20]
    DRAM Timing Selectable (SPD)______[Manual]

    Performance Enhance = [Standard]

    CAS Latency Time________________(5)
    Dram RAS# to CAS# Delay________ (5)
    Dram RAS# Precharge Delay______ (5)
    Precharge Delay (tRAS)___________ (18)

ACT to ACT Delay (tRRD)_________ [Auto] (3)
Rank Write to READ Delay_________ [Auto] (3)
Write to Precharge Delay__________ [Auto] (6)
Refresh to ACT Delay_____________ [Auto] (52) << Set to 68 for now
    Read to Precharge Delay___________[Auto] (3)
Static tRead Value________________[Auto] (4) << manually set, this is your issue 4 is way to low. Set to 8-10 for now

    Static tRead Phase Adjust__________[Auto] (0)

    System Voltage Control___________ [Manual]
    DDR2 OverVoltage Control_________ [+0.2V] << +.3 for 2.1
    PCI-E OverVoltage Control_________ [Normal]
    FSB OverVoltage Control__________ [Normal]
    (G)MCH OverVoltage Control_______ [Normal] << +.2-.3

Hehe No problem! but...eeehuum? [Static tRead Value 4] is what I have as WORKING settings for 1000Mhz you do know that right? and you mean that 4 is to high for 1066Mhz too work... right? anyway I will test these settings this weekend and I'll let you know right away. It's killing me to have to have my RAM at 918Mhz with CPU at 3.3Ghz

Okay your suggestions seems to work. Haven't done any heavy testing only 30min or so because North Bright get's HOT! Thue I need to set Voltages to +3v on both NB and RAM. Seem very strange that RAM want as much as +3v when manufacture suggest 2.0v?

What's the easiest way to cool NB, keep in mind there is limited space between NB and and my CPU fan.

    Just read this...

No way that my NB was 80C then my finger would catch fire :) so I guess I can go on with testing your settings?

How can it be too low when it works?
