Just noticed on Gigabyte website for the z170 Gaming 7 they now updated the beta Bios to F5p ... Just wish they get on and release a final F5 version.

For the love of all that is holy where can I find some release notes - specifically for the GA-Z170X-GAMING G1?

Ok, well, at least on their website they have listed the latest beta bios with 2 lines of changes... But what about the history of all the other bioses? Is the changelog not listed anywhere?

Most motherboard manufacturers usually provide minimal (and often useless) change log information for newer bios versions and at best, vague descriptions such as "improved memory compatibility."

Here is a somewhat better description that EVGA provides for one of their Z170 bios updates:

    OS: Windows 10 64bit
    Driver Version: 1.04
    Release Date: 8/28/2015
    Driver File: Download
    BIOS 1.04 Updates

    • Added a Windows 7 Installation option in the Boot page of the BIOS. THis is to assist with USB support during the installation.
    • Added lower memory frequency options
    • Fix Kingston HX426C15FBK4 2667 8G boot issue
    • Fixed BCLK not being adjustable on first boot after a CMOS reset
    • Improved BCLK OC capability
    • Fixed M.2 detection issues on E177 and E179

z170 boards still have complete crap fan control...where is the custom fan control gigabyte.?! i already set cpu fan to the lowest setting 0.75/pwm & it goes all the way to max 2000rpm & is super loud when the cpu is only about 64c, with my previous asus z77 i was able to enter max duty %, cpu fan never goes over that regardless of temp..

    using latest beta f4c for z170x-gaming 5

f4 final for z170x-gaming 5 is good, they fixed the weird vcore. with f4c setting "normal" used to show 1.265v in bios as vid, 1.24v actual, in OS stress testing showed 1.27v vid load & 1.296v/1.308v actual load & i always have llc off. going below this even -0.01v sometimes made it not post, but the vid in OS was always above what was supposed to be set in bios, temps were 82c.

now with f4, vid & vcore across bios & OS is proper, im now at 1.236v for 4.5ghz (voltage on "normal" still, llc off), temps are 10c lower & i can feel the difference from the fan exhaust so its not just numbers on a screen, its stable, with f4c it couldnt even post much at anything below "normal", 1.264v made the system lock up & bsod in 2 seconds after starting. this is a huge change, much more than "update cpu microcode" gigabyte says..load power consumption is over 10w less, idle is over 1.5w less. it seems to boot easier now, instead of randomly shutting off, hanging, or boot looping even at stock.

but i noticed fclk (system agent clock) is missing now from bios, its locked at 800mhz, why? will it come back? fclk spec for desktop is 1ghz by intel, why remove it & lock us at 800mhz? fan speed control is still crap, i hope this is next on their list..

GA-Z170N-WIFI F5 BIOS seemed to correct some XMP issues, but it's far from perfect. Fan Management Engine is also completely unworking... event if setting is set on Silent, my PWM fans are running 100% on idle (22C on each core..).

Those BIOSes look more alpha than anything final.

    GA-Z170X-GT

Just noticed the 4H bios, any word on the changes? Have a few issues but hate flashing without a change log.
