F7g still have strange GOP version number, do you recomend to replace it with 9.0.1039 before flash?

    Thanks

Exclamation Is this the right place for a bug report?

    RE: z170MX - BIOS F4d bug?

Turbo ratios are retained as maximum CPU multiplier, overriding fixed CPU core multiplier, even if turbo is disabled. In my case core CPU was 45 and the [disabled] turbo 1-2 cores were 46, 3-4 cores 45. Re-enabling turbo, setting all cores back to 45, then disabling turbo again "fixed it," or at least got my max multiplier back to 45.

Info observed in HWinfo64, going to update to F4e and try to reproduce the "problem." edit: it's not a problem if turbo 1-4 core load multis are intended to be observed even though grayed out with turbo disabled. Seems weird.

edit: Behavior is repeatable in F4e BIOS as well. Basically, can't turn turbo off unless Turbo 1-4 core activity options are each at auto, then disabling turbo observes my fixed CPU ratio. In my short test, the BIOS ignored the "disabled" setting of turbo when the turbo ratios were higher than my fixed CPU ratio of 45.

TL:DR set EACH turbo core activity to Auto if you're disabling Turbo. Manually input Turbo ratios will still affect your clock speeds even when grayed out with Turbo disabled.

Doing that, but nothing happens, just a quick flash of something starting, then disapears, then a notepad apears with an error code, 200, 284. "Error 284: Fail to load driver (PCI access for Windows).
Tool needs to run with an administrator priviledge account".

Pulling my hair out, as apparently Gigabyte are saying that the bios cant be flashed back to F4m, and RMA is the only option. This is not good. This is an email another X99 SOC Champion owner with the same problem had from Gigabyte:

Cant, as bios F21a flashes both main and backup bios at the same time. Could not see the point of this, as the backup bios is normaly there for when there is a problem with the main bios. Think Gigabyte have made a big ****up here.
