The BIOS contains the AHCI ROM version V1.20E (02102009),or
AHCI ROM version 1.07, since the version 1.20 has problem.
    What problem?

Hi. Unstrain, I have tried your UD5 F8b bios. It works but I noticed a couple of things, 1, The qpi link speed does not have all the settings from the original F8b, 2, On the multiplier for the ram it can only go as fast a 8 times, which runs at 1066, I need one that runs at 12 times. But the ahci is 100 per cent better. Thanks.

To have all the options back, load bios F5 first, and do not load optimized settings, load F8b modified after that, for some reason, the modified one looses some settings when the normal flash procedure is used.

An interesting experminent. I tried the F8B UD5 AHCI ROM modified BIOS and also lost most of my QPI settings and memory multipliers. I tried reflashing F5 and then the F8B modified over it and got my settings back, but my system would not boot at all with my identical overclock settings I had with F8B unmodified. I guess I'll have to wait till Gigabyte officially updates the BIOS with the new AHCI ROM.

try to key in again all the voltages as you had them before. check the skew settings too.

Hi Stasio, Is there any sign yet of a new bios for the UD5 with the newer ahci. Thanks.
