    Hi,

I got a question to stasio or someone with a bit ( a lot more ) knowledge then me.
I currently own a GA-Z87x-D3H and it allready ended up twice being bricked after a bios flash.
The back up bios is i beleive corrupt, so whenever it kicks in, it overrides the main bios.
I finally have it back from RMA but i think they only fixed the main bios and not the backup bios.
Is there a way to check if the back up bios is working?
And 1 more question, if i enter the bios menu and press f9 for info, should i see 1 bios there or 2?
Hope someone can help me, because the shop wants me to return it again, but i don't want to wait 11 weeks again.

    Thanks in advance..

    1) Vcore is set to NORMAL
    2) Dynamic Vcore (DVID) is set to -0,130v. This value need to be evalueted after a lot stability test (I suggest Realbench). I made about 30 different attempt, starting with -0,65v to find the right value for my configuration. VDIV is a different thing. Ignore this (my fault).
    3) Turbo Bost parameters is set x44 (for 1,2,3 and 4 active cores). In F20 on Z170X Gaming 7 turbo boost do not work correctly and all cores go up to the higher multiplier. ie. if you set x44, x42, x42, x42 all cores go up to x44 at the same time (you can test this with a benchmark like the one provided by CPU-Z). This is partially fixed (works only for some multiplier value) on some other Gigabyte mb. I hope that this will be fixed on Z170X Gaming 7, too.

EDIT: Load Line Calibration (LLC) is set to Normal.
Finally got around to working on this the last two nights. I ended up settling on -0.100v. I set my Turboboost parameters to x43. So I'm boosting to 4300Hz, temps now staying under 80C. The package temp hit 79C at Max, Core max was 77C on the first core. Seems stable enough. I was having a hard time being stable at x44 when having the DVID lower than -0.080v as with -0.080v my temps were still mid 80s. Think I lost the silicon lottery hard on my 6700k. I haven't been able to OC very well.

Would be nicer if Gigabyte would fix the bug for this board in F21. Mind you, I don't even see a newer beta bios. It's been like this for 3 months on my Z170-Gaming 7.

I did try and load it via USB and renaming it to .bin, but this failed.
Where would I find a change log for this update?

    Thanks.
Seems this thread is pretty dead. No sign of the OP or any regular contibuters

On my 6700k @ 4.4Ghz with auto LLC and Normal/Auto vCore around 1,248v (HWInfo 64 or Aida 64) with no load. With F8 was about 1,3 and with F20 about 1,35.
