    I am at a loss...
There is no way to boot from a USB stick, or CD or a floppy drive. I can only boot from a hard disk. Don't know why but other possibility will fail, so I cannot start the PC under DOS and revert to a non uefi bios.

Please help, I really don't know what to do.

Can you send me a DOS HD image so I can copy it directly with Acronis to an hard disk and try to boot from there?

    Anyone?

Make USB bootable and chose USB to be first boot in BIOS.

    Thank you Stasio.
But maybe I am not so clear, sorry for my English.
With this new bios uefi, it seems that there is no way to make boot from USB no matter what kind of bootable USB stick I use or how I make it.
I perfectly know how to make a bootable media, but this damned BIOS won't allow me to boot from anything but a SATA HD.
It even prevents me from booting from a CD (I tried with a win98SE bootable)....

Can you send me somehow a hard disk image? I cannot use USB ports!

Read posts arround October 2012...(Z68....),maybe you will found solution there.
Many return back to Award BIOS.
I don't have any other solution.
Interesting is how you flash UEFI BIOS ,if your bootable USB didn't work?

Stasio when you see this (and assuming you can of course), would you be kind enough to post a general link for latest/Beta Gigabyte motherboard BIOSes?

Just the root, so i can search for myself and stop asking here every time i get a new one; which is often, lol
    My thanks in advance!

i got a new bios update from gigabyte support for the GA-Z97N Gaming 5 rev. 1.0 Mainboard. It is not listed on in your thread. If you want to add the bios update ( Z97NG5.F6b ) i have uploaded it to zippyshare : Zippyshare.com - F6b.zip
    thanks for your service.

That is exactly my problem, after update to uefi, other boot options apart from HD are not functional (usb, usb floppy, sata cd)
That is why I want to revert to Award, but I can't...

    Got a different question..

What if one wanted to go back to a previous BIOS driver, but was also unable to go back all the way to Award/default?

Case in point, Ryzen+ on a previous gen 350 mobo. Currently on F22, and the particular board (AB350N Gaming WiFi) has only one BIOS.
I cannot go to F1, doesn't support my CPU. Earliest BIOS that supports this chip is the F10 :)
So i'd need a way to 'manually' force my BIOS to F11, F12, etc.. which is usually not possible, since the BIOS doesn't want you to downgrade.

    Any ideas?

This is a major long-shot, but are there any updates to the z77x-up7 BIOS recently?

Or the Marvell 91xx RAID controller driver? My PC is failing to update to Windows Feature Update 1803 because of the drivers.
