Re: GIGABYTE Latest Beta BIOS
Hi, I have a computer with a GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-UD5H rev. 1.1 motherboard, and am currently on Bios version F9 from 2015, F11d is newest bios for it on this list, is it stable / would it improve my computers performance at all for gaming/windows 10?
Thanks in advance.

I suspect it will slightly hinder your performances (at least according to what I've read about the Z97 chipset and those fixes) considering that bios F11D contains the updated microcode to solve the spectre/meltdown vulnerability.
I didn't notice particular slowdowns playing (I own your same motherboard), but I'm not the best subject entitled to give analisies considering I prefer to play graphic adventures and RPGs (so nothing that stresses the CPU too much like other types of games).
Consider one useful thing: our motherboard has a double bios (you can select them via a small switch near the RAM slots), so you can leave the latest official bios (V10) on one and the latest beta bios (V11D) on the other one and switch them to suit your necessities.

Re: GIGABYTE Latest Beta BIOS
Hello,
I have my old z87x-ud4h with a i7 4790k and maybe you could help me..so I have a couple of questions
- I used the f9 official bios, first to support haswell refresh..but on auto vcore goes over 1.3v
- the official f10b and the latest f10 and f11b from tweaktown use lower vcore but I can't disable spread spectrum
Is there a way to mod the latest bios to not use spread spectrum ? Or a way to use the best bios for my old gigabyte mobo? I used UBU_v1_70_rc7 to update the microcode to f9 but i'm not experienced in modding and I don't think that will do...

Consider that the latest beta bios is simply an update with new microcodes to fix the spectre/meltdown vulnerabilities and that a similar update compromises older systems like the Z97 giving a significant loss of performance.
I would stick to the latest official release (V10) for performance, installing the latest F11d on the secondary bios for everyday use, and switching between them according to your needs.

Re: GIGABYTE Latest Beta BIOS
Hi there,
Just wondering if there is a modded/more updated UEFI BIOS for GA-Z68X-D3H-B3 (rev 1).
I see on first post UD3H, but Googling etc hasn't shown anything for D3H.
Gigabyte site of course still has U1D beta.
GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 (rev. 1.0) | Motherboard - GIGABYTE Global
Thought to ask :)
