Re: GIGABYTE Latest Beta BIOS
over at gigabyte, there is a new beta bios, f10a, for the x570 aorus elite (and probably similar updates for other models with AGESA 1.0.0.4). However it causes a lot of problems with some sound cards. In my case, a asus Xonar Essence STX.
For a list of working / non working configurations, see for instance :

Hi Stasio,
Gigabyte really need to do something about the rework gui bios.
Apparently all of them have the tREFI bug.
I saw a user with the Z390 Aorus Pro who had it too.
One user already can't run his 9900KS at stock because enabling XMP causes him to BSOD unless he jacks up the CPU voltage all the way to 1.38v (!!)
I was trying to help him with it then he found the problem himself.
He has to disable XMP and set the RAM to 4000 mhz manually without using XMP (base speed was 3600 mhz).
Then he can run his 9900KS at a nice low 1.29v.

I already submitted a ticket and someone replied saying "they would send it to the bios team."
Re: GIGABYTE Latest Beta BIOS
My findings of F8 BIOS for Z390 Aorus XTREME :
# Brand new UI but a bit confusing, i guess I was used to the previous UI and there it was segregated properly and now its all mixed up together :(
# it doesn't have the option for disabling the Aquantia 10Gig LAN Controller
# Added option to disable wifi
and it works.
# VRM loadline calibration profiles are set to output higher voltages than that of previous BIOSes.
# Adaptive voltage for CPU with offset is higher than previous versions of BIOS, thats why I could run my OC with more negative offset :(
# RAM's tertiary timings settings are a mess, I can confirm that the tREFI setting does not work.
# Some minor voltage settings are removed/ missing.
# The Splash Screen now shows only 3 options while booting, which is good.
# went back to F8a last night
after one day of using F8.
__________________________________________________ ____________
I think GIGABYTE should change / fix the following things for it's next series of BIOS releases:
# They can choose to revert back to the previous encapsulated and segregated UI for the next BIOS.
# Must add / bring back the option to enable / disable the 10 GIG LAN.
# They Should add the option to disable the Bluetooth Adapter .
# They should definitely revert back the VRM loadline calibration profiles because after nearly releasing the Motherboard after 1 year almost all the users have calibrated their desired settings regarding the major voltage rails for their system by now and changing the VRM loadline calibration profiles voltage output thresholds would nullify those settings. All the users must either need to calibrate their desired settings based on the new profiles or they do not look so closely and fry their CPU, IMC with higher voltages gradually.
# They must fix the RAM's timings settings. They can just bring back the previous version's code and UI for that , if that make things easy for them. but I think Gigabyte should provide all the primary, secondary and tertiary DDR-4 RAM settings there is known to mankind (Copy ASUS Boards Settings) on their Xtreme level high end Motherboards at least.
# They should definitely bring back / provide all the major and minor voltage settings (PLL fine tunes voltages& offsets, VAGX & other rails' Current and voltage protection threshold settings) on their BIOS.
# They can choose to provide a option to show/hide the button pressing options on the bottom of the splash screen while booting.
** I Think following the above guidelines will significantly improve Gigabyte's position as a Motherboard Manufacturer and tarnish the Gigabyte's "BAD BIOS" reputation on the tech community.

Chinmoy Barman,
Computer Engineer.
Re: GIGABYTE Latest Beta BIOS
Does anyone have the GA-EX58-UD5 - F13v file?
Re: GIGABYTE Latest Beta BIOS
The Gigabyte website says in the brief description regarding the X570 bios, that F10c will "Improve RAID function compatibility". Does anybody have more detailed or specific information on what this means? I am using a RAID10 setup in my Master X570 and wonder how/if this may affect me. Haven't flashed to F10c yet as I am wary of any downtime or issues.
